Ben we got few sites like that.. One site just done show plots and couple of other plots but been told they building no more till sale's.. Other sites they getting June plots in for numbers but July onwards going to be very very slow ... One anyone would come into new builds beats me...Site agents are talking to trades is awful.Power gone to there head....

My site been busy with rushing in on numbers but looks like its going ti settle down to slow pace again .. Talking to other lads on there Taylor wimpey sites with just show plots gone up and very slow on there

Wonder if any trades are working on site ? .. Its incredible slow here west midlands.. Down to 4 day week and lots of people phoning me that's struggling also ..

Interest rate been going down and still struggling.. Historically the interest is low now.. People just not selling because of the cost .. Estate agente solicitors and stamp duty looking at 15k before you even start

Last government had targets miles away. This government just as bad. They been say for over 15 years we need new house so I took no notice of Labour and what they say. Oh Labour put up stamp duty ..

I work in Midlands and it's really slow..Just one skimmer on site im on. It's like that on few wimpy sites around here. Don't really expect it till get busy for few months till they want numbers for Christmas.. Then no work in January... Please can we stop we all this talk lack of trades out there. Thats not the problem. People just not buying new homes here ..Said it thousand times stamp duty is a killer for some people. We are moving and with stamp duty estate agente and solicitors it's cost all most 18k before we move.

Shortage of trades.... Shortage of work...I know loads at the moment on 2 or 3 day weeks because of how bad it is out there. Ive been workings on new builds for 36 years and with poor site agents ( Thats are kids always doing paper work) Putting silly pressure get numbers done then no work for months I wouldn't recommend coming into this game at all...

The wimpy sites I'm working on west midlands.. Still very slow two plots was sold over weekend that's 2 in last month.. I really don't think bring interest rates down will make any difference... I hope im wrong

Lack of trades more like lack of work. Labour are killing new builds with stamp duty the 3 wimpy sites im working on are very slow with a lot of trades having days off.. Nothing to do with lack of trades and if overseas workers do arrive we that bring our prices down? I think so... Should look after trades you got here and they wouldn't leave building trade

Can't blame the old government for bring i stamp duty ...That has not help

After the June rush and all trades working 7 days a week .. Things have really slow down again . Thanks for working 7 days now we got no work for you and wonder why there is a lack of young people in building game.. Think next 2 or 3 months will be so slow

You might find they try and drop Labour prices.. They already ask for 10% discount no wonder trades trying to leave new builds..Sites in West Midlands still slow

I'm working in Midlands and things gone very slow...House market not being help by the stamp duty at all.. My boss said he never do work for wimpy again as again asking for 10% drop again lack of experience site agents who know how to run a site.Ive never know it so bad and I be working on new builds for 35 years

I can tell you now it will never happen.. Since before banking crash we need more homes .. 15 years or more still in same position

Bernrumpson busy on 3 sites west midlands..Then after March going to slow down as trying get people i before stamp duty... By the way what a joke bring that in at the moment

Agree the staircase we have to paint are shocking.Look like been drag for 3 miles.. We can only paint what's there..
