Come on In2Win you know that your portfolio is basically all high risk high reward. You keep mentioning your ‘win’ in NCYT. For balance can you also state you % gain in AST and HEMO?

You have listed off a bunch of pharma companies and are also invested in a high risk oilie. That’s not mixed, it’s called straight out gambling. You are chasing your huge losses in AST and you will most likely lose again if that’s what your portfolio looks like.

The concerning thing in your post is that you think that a 33%-100% gain isn’t really worth it when there are straight out gambles out there such as HEMO that could gain you 500%. And that’s what you are doing, gambling. You will lose it all again with this approach almost certainly.

Depends what kind of investor you are. Taking a look at the shares you are invested in, you are a high risk high reward investor and you seem to be of the mindset where you are only interested in shares that you can multi bag in. This is fine but most people end up losing everything by taking this approach as you have already experienced.

This share has now transitioned into one which is backed by some fairly solid fundamentals and so yes you are unlikely to multi bag but there is a decent chance of some fairly solid gains from this point on. A 33% profit in a short amount of time is actually a really decent return.

People generally speak up about their successful trades and stay quiet about their failures so make sure you take that into account. Also, experienced investors also generally have a diverse portfolio which consists of a combination of lower risk ‘boring’ shares and higher risk shares such as this one.

For an inexperienced investor, going all in on a share such as this for short term gains is basically a complete gamble. Try and reassess your current position objectively and make your decision based on the level of risk you are willing to take. If you make the wrong call in hindsight then don’t kick yourself, no one can read the future!

Arsalanb, my advice is, don’t take advice or guidance from anyone on this forum. Always check people’s post history on shares to see if they have been consistent in their approach. Be wary of people who get emotional and talk extremes in either direction.

If you have invested here to make short term gains but you can’t afford to lose the money then that doesn’t sound like a great decision to be honest.

Yes but ‘experts’ don’t have experience in situations like this, it’s a once in a lifetime event. The point of the deal was to improve the outlook of oil and that means that they need the market onboard and reacting accordingly.

They have announced the deal and the market thus far has not reacted. Is this not empirical evidence that the ‘experts’ might have gotten it wrong?
