onlooker Roi tried to bully Freeport into signing those new contracts, they refused to do so and Roi suspended Freeports export licenses, good old VP of Usa visits Indonesia and the suspension is lifted. If only Theresay May helped us a little. She has refused to help... Really shameful!!!

World bank are aware should chl win this award the floodgates will open for claims against Indonesia.. Icsid have shot themselves in the foot with this poorly written award which will not pass college level. Alot of interest in this case now and alit of law professionals analysing this award...

Well I'm hoping for a quick resolution but the past history of roi is not too good. Roi have been pushing around bigger mining companies and they have started fights with USA based Freeport. The USA govt has their back compared that to ours who don't give a monkeys. Roi are threatening to pull out of bit treaties, that's fine our case is ongoing and then we will most likely win case with full claim. IMHO I think previously chl would have accepted cheap settlement but I believe they will demand more now. Annulment looks like certainty IMHO. World bank was trying to accommodate the lesser countries and this time round they tried to sacrifice chl.

I think roi have riled Freeport and USA govt has their back, roi need to realise do the largest south east asian economy really want to be embarrassed in the public stage. Some of these allegations are embarrassing..

Uncanny Who knows what's going on, but what I do know even the hardcore supporters of roi in icsid cannot save them from this poorly written award. Maybe more people can write articles like this lady has. This is really embarrassing for south Asian largest economy..

Onlooker Its interesting the case they are talking about, I think chl apply for a remit if they wish as roi deliberately mislead the tribunal with regards to Putra, and because Putra was important to this case they can allow for a remit should chl request one. Mikemike Chl requested comparative licences for the same period, roi refused and tribunal called it burdensome. But in the goodness of their heart roi provided Nusantaras license(how convenient) and few photocopied licenses. You can bet your life if roi were forced to provide comparative licenses those would have shown irregularities also.. IMHO.
