I'm going purely from memory. I thought after the £20 million rescue Placement that Pheonix + Schroder + Ogston had something like 96% between the 3 of them. No?

I'm not altogether sure I understand your point Sandra. Wasn't it Schroders & Ogden that effectively 'saved' the Company with their substantial investment at 3p? Who is to say (for certain) that the current Board have done anything except feather their own nest with extremely generous share incentives & allocations for no material gain for ord shareholders? The profit improvement shown in the AR was all down to a one-off financial adjustment as far as I could make out. Not quite creative accounting but certainly not down to anything the new members of the Board had achieved with their own hard work, or otherwise. All in my opinion only. Have no position on this. Just playing devil's advocate as an 'interested' bystander.

There's only one pair of hands on the wheel driving this Company. And that's Humphries. And he's 76 years of age. With this gold find LND will be taken out fairly soon. Analysts are already investigating and evaluating. They have made little secret in the recent past that Company was open to offers.

one does wonder what has prompted Schroders to take the action they have. They have much to gain and much to lose. I haven't even seen any remote speculation as to the background to this fall-out. One assumes there must been some VERY good justification. I guess because they have such voting powers they don't need to work particularly hard to convince anyone what they are doing is for the best for ord shareholders?! Just a wild guess = maybe they want to have more say + influence into how the Company is run? Want some of their own on the BoD? Not impressed with all these extremely generous share gifts they have been granting themselves?

This is an AIM stock now. Only buy & sell trades will influence the direction of the share price. All news (good or bad) will of course influence who wants to buy and who wants to sell CPP stock. And the MMs will react accordingly to that buying & selling. Simple as that!! Different ball game to when CPP was a FTSE player.

would be useful + interesting to know exactly the background to what's prompted them to take the action they have. I assume with the voting power that they & Ogston possess any GM vote would be a formality.

SDP - it'll certainly be very interesting. That's sure fire. No matter how improved the bottom line is as reported tomorrow, there desperately needs to be some clarity with the FCA stance. You'd think that the current 'action & uncertainty' created by Schroders and/or Ogston is hardly likely to help the FCA make a final decision regarding the permissions CPP need to launch new products over the next few months. History tells us CPP's share price can have dramatic spikes. But it now trades on AIM. Consequently if will only move significantly higher if there's serious buying pressure. And sorry to say, I honestly can't see that happening (18-24p). Sincerely hope I'm wrong.

The Bid was 11.25p at Close yesterday. Exactly same price as it opened at this morning. The price you refer to was I assume a temporary movement by the MMs to accommodate the 250,000 trade that went through late. You should never pay any attention to the published prices at the top of this site. For starters they are delayed by 15 minutes and aren't current/accurate.

Nobody can explain what hasn't happened. The share price isn't "sliding seriously down". The Bid (what your shares are worth to sell) was 9p only 2 weeks back and that rose to 10p this time last week. It is today 11.25p.

The AGM hasn't been called yet. Usually that's in May/June time. It's a GM that has been forced upon the Board.

The share awards aren't "apparent" nor does anyone have to make any assumptions that they are real. The detail of the extremely generous shares awarded to themselves have been disclosed via RNSs over past 9 months or so. Personally I have no issue with them rewarding themselves but it'd be nice to see them provide some material benefit+evidence to ord shareholders first - THEN - reward themselves. Just to improve the bottom line (by cutting overheads) doesn't quite do it for me.

I'm of course talking about Board members granting themselves zillions of shares for 0.0p for doing nowt of material benefit for ord shareholders. Not yet anyway. Wasn't referring to Hamish.

Largest shareholder (HO) who is not on Board isn't happy the way the Company is being run. For whatever reason. Why are profits materially higher? Some creative accounting perhaps? Surely hasn't been because of increased revenues from existing business stream?

on here!! Very little trading of CPP stock. Waiting patiently for AR perhaps? Wonder whatever became of that poster 'tallestperson'? Did he/she get sectioned under Mental Health Act?
