Well I'm afraid its goodbye from me Chaz knowing TXR and their lack of keeping us investors up to date I do not want to wait another 6 months so I'm out for now. Like you I wished I had bailed at 7p though got 6.5 for small profit. Don't want to miss better opportunities over the next 6 months. Good luck to all those still holding.

It goes on to talk about a strong recovery in 2010. TXR is also in the rutile business so I am presuming will have had the same demand pressures. Makes me think the rise must be more down to insurance payout hope rather than a strong trading 6 months. What do you think? Anyone else with any thoughts welcome

31 August 2009 Kenmare Resources plc 2009 Interim Results Kenmare Resources plc, which owns and operates the Moma Titanium Minerals Mine in northern Mozambique, issued its interim results today. In the second quarter of 2009, production of Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC) was up 23% from the first quarter, production of ilmenite was up 12.2%, production of zircon was up 45%, and production of rutile increased 158%. A Performance Improvement Project (PIP) is 97% complete at the time of writing, compared to 75% on 16 April, as noted in Kenmare's Annual Report. This has contributed to the steady increase in output. Results have continued to improve with July being a record month for HMC and ilmenite production. To date, Kenmare has relied on one trans-shipment vessel, the 'Bronagh J'. While this vessel has performed well, it is prudent to manage the risk that the mine could have to shut down for a period in the event of a failure of the 'Bronagh J'. In August, the Group purchased an additional trans-shipment vessel and tug which will provide loadout capacity beyond the envisaged production rate as well as reducing operational risk. Its interesting that TXR's response to the rising share price was to announce the impending interim results as opposed to offering no known reason for the rise. Personally I hope they are able to announce details of the payout already received from Zurich Insurance as that would appear to enlighten even us longstanding holders. I do not believe that the rise can only be attributed to rising metal prices so we could also hear of further insurance payouts. D2 even with the Insurance money is still a long way off I believe from coming back online. I am just glad I kept the faith. I would imagine most of us who bought into this at the beginning of the year had the insurance payouts in mind.

Just thinking the same Chaz, what I really like is that if you look at the volume its not really been too significant to initiate a 50% rise so someone must be after the stock as the price has continued to rise and as far as I am aware the RNS has not been released so I reckon we can sleep well tonight. I wonder if Sundancer has bought back in do you stay in touch?

Thanks for that, still glad I,m in at 6.9p rather than 18 though. I hope we can get back to those levels. I am in a little investment club that only puts in £300 evry two months and I sold this company to them. My brother wanted into TW on the back of a housing market recovery but my sales pitch and interim results over the last year for this company mean't I won the vote. The aim will be to leave a holding in the company for long term in the portfolio.

my fellow investors. Having looked at the site prior to my purchase I could see it's been like solitary confinement for you both. However looking at the previous positive interims, current preliminary bid and director buying I have decided to join you on this deserted island in the hope that we have spotted a little gem before the market and day traders grasp the potential. Obviously it's a small company but my plan was to take out my inital investment if I can and leave the profits for the longer term even if that is in a new company as this may well be in its embryonic stages of growth potential. ("the Company") was informed on 16 June 2009 that, on 15 June 2009, Ingalls & Snyder LLC ("I&S"), on behalf of its clients, acquired 1,610,000 ordinary shares in the Company and as a result, I&S now owns 9,541,000 ordinary shares in the Company representing 4% of the Company's total issued share capital.

Rather than the ramper theory am I not right that an institution increased their holding in the company by a further 3 percent 1,600,000 shares on around the 16th June which I thought caused the rise. Its on the london stock exchange news releases page.

I did wonder if you and sundancer would have sold out today or held on. I personally have and will remain as I said earlier I'm going to await the interim at the end of the month. Obviously trained financial boff have poured over TXR and sold it to their respective institution to instigate yesterday's buy in, Nice raise for us PI's and it was a bonus as that was not really the news we were waiting on. I needed to read that again to remind myself why I bought in. I hope our patience is rewarded and if we do get a nice lift I'm even tempted to leave my profits in for the long haul ie D2 refurb and D3 build. I agree that the company could and should offer more updates to its investors as this is what keeps interest going. Lets hope they deliver an informative and WOW factor interim at the end of the month such as the outstanding insurance claims updates or settlements. Throw in a few figures as regards sums would be an added bonus though unlikely.

I would guess Chaz would also be around, this has been a little painful to watch as it slides down the slippery slope, I had been hoping for a lift upon the news of the isurance payout but with the lag from any news so Pi's have jumped ship to find quicker profits. I'm too stubborn to jump as I bought in believing that the company's cash balance (insurance payout) and having sold all rutile for 2009 that they can mine would provide a nice RNS or interim result. I now await the end of June to see if this materialises.

Well Chaz, for the sake of us minority shareholders whom remain in the dark I for one hope you do get some excercise and make that half mile trip down to the AGM. I will certainly be holding until I hear something. Everytime I think about selling I just remind myself why I bought in and having done my own research I feel obliged to see it through. I guess I just want to prove to myself I was right in the first place.

I guess if I was one of the other insurers involved and I don't know who they are I would be waiting for the year end results to get a picture of what TXR might settle for. That would seem to make good business sense and if that is the case things will be quiet for the next 4-5 weeks as I think the year end results are end of June. Please feel free to correct me if you know anything different as this is only an assumption and not based on fact.
