So random observation. ONGC are clearly not short of a few quid. But as I understand it, we are first in line to buy out GSPC should they wish to sell??

Anyhow, what would be the possibility of ONGC just putting in an offer for the whole company? If it is of "national significance" they could just nationalise it?

I don't see us primarily funding drilling ourselves in any outcome. Either we get cash from GSPC and they stump up 55% of the drilling, or we get 100% and farm out 30% etc and make them earn their way.

Actually the next news, which arguably is just as important as the cash/ 100% thing is the Indian government giving the permits for the next drill. Which is likely to be early jan. So it's not that long actually. Then a drill around march time. So again, not that long to wait.

I'm not sure what he could say on this. GSPC could leave it right until the deadline. And they are legally entitled to do that.

And, as it's highly relevant, target is 1p if we don't get Cambay. Which is still a bag more or less.

Just using the power of Wikipedia, but India has only one sizeable gas field KG-D6 at 9.2TCF recoverable.

Admittedly we only have 1.4TCF recoverable at this point, but it just goes to show, if we get this drilling campaign up and running and start firming up some numbers this could easily be the second largest gas field in India.

It's is also worth pointing out that as we are already producing all the infrastructure we need is already all on site. AFAIK.

Fortunately the gas is still there! ;)

And it makes you wonder who would be selling now when we could get 100% of a 22TCF field in next few days...

I don't know about Aex infrastructure, but all the plant equipment needed is very close to the drill sites here, already in place.

Realistically, depending on the mention of jv partners at the time, I'd say 2-2.5p on 100% no jv partner. More like 3.5-4p with.
