@Cwrrington So you think the Tories will smash the CWU. We have now had two major attempts at CEO's bringing in their henchmen and trying to smash the CWU. Neither of them ended well. On both occasions the Tories intervened. And now you think the Tories would try and smash the CWU. Really? The CWU have survived Thatcher in the 80's and that was rough. This lot aint nowhere near Thatcher and quite frankly the Tories are in such a mess and the public love postal workers it would be political suicide for the Tories to even attempt such a thing. @Scamp Add to that Rico completely took his eye off the ball trying to derecognise the union bringing in his hatchet men and let the company rot. People are sick to death of these rich boys feeding their own financial appetites and the pervasive greed that goes with it.

@Scamp let me explain to you why i think you may not be correct. I can tell you now that Alok Sharma intervened in the situation. The Tories are in an utter mess and i dont wnat to turn this into a political argument i really dont. But they are completely ballsing up this Covid situation with care homes and the death rate. They also have Brexit on the horizon and if they get that wrong then they are doomed.

So with that in mind when it comes to the politics in parliament, Boris is being served his arse on a plate. Patel cannot get her sums right even when they are written down for her. Nadine Dorris and others are spreading malicious far right rubbish to blacken Starmer and trust me i ma not his biggest fan but he is more statesman like than anything the Tories have. So you see the last thing they needed was Postal Workers enacting their ballot given what is happening in the country at the moment and also given that postal workers are held in the highest esteem.

Now I am not suggesting that the large shareholders did not have any involvement they may have. But I also know that the Union were working behind the scenes to make that happen.

For you to suggest that the Tories would renationalise Royal Mail is a brash statement indeed. everyone is saying they are in trouble the Tories have renationalised parts of the railways. The british public are sick to death of foreign owners being handed British industries their is now a huge wave of nationalism of a good sort that is flowing in this country. The CWU will latch onto that although it will take time i dont expect it to happen overnight

@Wolves it is fairly obvious even to a cretin like you that there are reasons why letter mail has dropped off. DSA mail is down drastically because firms are closed. As so many firms are closed they are not posting mail because they are not trading. When this abates which it will do we will be back in business. wolves i will let you know when you get something right but dont hold your breath for crying out loud

@Giddyup Yeah i not only think so i know so. Would you have believed that Rico would be gone Friday morning? I very much doubt it. The Union does not need to hold the scare factor just the strength of the workforce and its political sway as well. Be under no illusion in the role the CWU plays in running this industry its power with Government and its members because if you do you will be really disappointed. Renationalising Royal Mail would be a massive feather in the Tories cap with the British public and they need all the help they can get. It will happen it may take time but mark my words it will happen

@Red The CWU did allow it. unfortunately the greedy avarice of the Tory party who have sold off anything of any worth in this country for a quick buck, did. But i will tell you one thing, the CWU will be leading the way to get it renationalised and i am telling you now do not rule that out, the greed has to stop. You cannot take over a Billion pounds out of this industry and pay it to people who have done nothing and also those salaries for Directors and others that has to stop. I hope he is stressed off is tits the bloke was an utter liability. He tried to break the CWU and that become his number 1 operation and he left everything else to fail whilst doing so it became an obsession with him. Lions led by donkeys indeed i genuinely hope he is very unwell and never gets over it. We have been running this company since 1910. How people like Rico and his ilk can make a business like this unprofitable is criminal. I am truly puzzled how that can happen. Bring back Sue Whalley

@Oli You are spot on he was given the boot. There was pressure from all corners including the Tory Party in fact it was massive from them to be fair. They are doing a bad enough job as it is they do not need knuckleheads like Rico giving them a further headache
