Putting aside how extremely sad I find it that you obviously copy/paste statements I make into a Word document on your computer so you can bring them up against me in the future, you seem to be missing the point as per...
I don't mind insulting you lunatics, but it's not all I do is it? I usually argue a point, link to data or articles, or have a position behind my general disdain for you. I'll always engage with facts and data where I can, even if you repeatedly ignore them, but that doesn't mean I don't have an opinion either...
The difference is that you pop out the woodwork to call me a communist, or a socialist, or a woke leftie, or a hypocrit - or turn the argument into something about immigration, or the SNP, or the working class - because you don't have anything actually convincing, articulate, or intelligent to contribute to the debate.
You just have meaningless epithets, confused and contradictory insults, that genuinely just show how shallow your conviction is.
"Barrel of laughs this machiismo I see Scotland are set to gain an unexpected £600 million courtesy of the Tory's.
Meanwhile Scotland's mini budget has been postponed until after the SNP conference, they are too embarrassed."
The extra money is a result of Tory policy, if you have a problem with it, look inward at the party you support. The SNP won't match the idiotic Tory fiscal policies where possible due to devolution, but that really is irrelevant.
SNP policies do not dictate the market response, the UK government does. It really doesn't bloody matter what the SNP does or doesn't do right now, because the forces affecting the market are those of the party in power, the Tories. So accept some f*cking responsibility, you absolute children, for the consequences of your decisions.
Get a grip.
It's funny how markets are in turmoil (with the BOE bailing out pensions to avoid catastrophic meltdown) this week because of Ukraine and COVID, but not a month ago because of Ukraine and COVID. It's almost as if blaming Ukraine and COVID for everything is really super convenient or something?!
Very easy to feed bullsh*t Tory voters ain't it? They just love eating it up.
Morons.
At least Brixton is occasionally funny.
I have no issues arguing with the far-right brigade on here. They usually have nothing to say other than personal insults, such is the depth of their political ideology.
Loads of OAPs massively out of touch with the people that live in UK, because of course they are! They are two decades out of touch, living in their quaint little villages, completely oblivious to everything happening in every city.
Problem is they f*cking vote. And they vote more than anyone else. If we could convince everyone under the age of 30 to vote then the Tories wouldn't have been in power for the last 50 years. They are a party of out-of-touch, senile, "I got mine", NIMBY erseholes.
Holy Christ almighty this thread aimed at me is still going. Amazing.
Anyone listen (or read) Putin's speech tonight illegally annexing parts of Ukraine? I could not help but notice the similarities between him and the language of the far-right Tory voter. A complete disconnect from reality, blaming everyone else for every problem he created. Railing against minorities, conspiracy theory-laden, desperate.
There was a report into Russian interference in the Brexit vote (psy-op campaigns on social media specifically) that Boris hushed. It's still hushed. You have to hand it to the man, he's infected the mind of many in our society.
"Patriots" apparently...
Lol.

If you don't need therapy after dealing with this inept gov for a decade then what the hell have you been smoking?
It must be nice to be massively ignorant and clueless about the world around. Ignorance is bliss after all. But sadly I have eyes and ears and something called a brain (and conscience) so I find it difficult to tune out reality.
I do genuinely think anyone that votes Tory is either totally oblivious to the actual state of this country or a psychopath.
DT
You know damn well where the money is coming from, it's coming from social services that help the poorest and most vulnerable in society. It's coming from the NHS that is already on its knees, with nurses "skipping meals on shift to feed their children".
This country is being dismantled bit by bit, with every piece going to the rich. It's disgusting and every Tory voter is entirely complicit.
It's no hyperbole to say it's genuinely evil. It's genuinely, genuinely evil.
TFE talking out his complete erse as usual.
Truss and KK won't even release OBR forecasts because they know it's going to independently rinse any claim they make about this budget.
"as peeps earn more and get richer naturally they pay more, every little helps" this is TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS AND IT DOES NOT WORK.
How many times must you repeat the same, disproven drivel? It DOES NOT WORK.
Tax cuts for low and middle income earners promote growth. Tax cuts for the highest earners do not.
God it's like trying to explain the difference between facts and fiction to a monkey.
Lol another post made about me from someone I have filtered. Is this the 10th one now?
And yeah, I stand by my statement. If you vote Tory you exactly one of the things I described, if not all of them.
So far, none of the economically clueless, brain-addled right wingers have proven anything otherwise with their BS on here.
Defending the indefensible, and when that doesn't work, calling non-Tories communists or some other wolf-whistle.
Anyone that backs this Tory government or the last, is a moron. It's really that simple. I can almost wrap my head around Cameron and May, but BoJo and Truss? Lol, political lightweights supported by drooling sycophants.
How can you blame a party that hasn't been in power for 12 years?! It's absolutely absurd. The responsibility of where we are at is solely down to the only four-letter word that should be banned on here T-O-R-Y.
They could have turned this country around on day 1 when they came into power, but instead what have we had? Austerity, destruction of the social contract between government and people, Brexit, proroguing of parliament, destruction of parliamentary standards, scandal after scandal after scandal, and now the complete knackering of the economy.
It's a joke that anyone dares put this at the foot of a party that has had no say in how the country is ran for 12 years. A sick joke.
"if machismo is so right, why has labour not been voted in. answers please"
Because large swathes of the country lived the majority of their adult lives thru the 1980-00s, which was a time of unprecedented global growth, and now want to protect their wealth (however it was gained) at the expense of everyone else. This means voting Tory - the party of the wealthy - and is the fundamental "I got mine" attitude that fuels the average arrogant Tory voter.
Large parts of the country are also thick as pigsh*t and vote Tory because they read sensationalist rags like the Daily Heil, that put all the ills of this country at the hands of migrants, "woke lefties" and anyone else that isn't a straight, white, man. These are economically and politically illiterate people, generally uneducated and poor, and don't realize they are voting against self-interest. This is why the poor in America vote Republican and why the poor in this country voted Brexit and Tory, despite all evidence pointing towards their policies and outcomes as having an adverse effect on their lives.
In short, people are selfish and thick and/or bigots.
Cornsland and every other person that has voted Tory the last 12 years is absolutely responsible for the state of this country. Do not fall into the BS argument that everything right now is a result of COVID or Ukraine, it's not. We have had social service funding cuts in the name of austerity since 2008. We've had national infrastructure naively sold off, like gas storage, that would have eased the current crisis. Tory policy has fundamentally broken down this country for 12 years.
Wage stagnation, housing bubble, deregulation of environmental standards, unchecked profiteering are all byproducts of Tory policy.
I have ZERO sympathy or respect for anyone that is "considering" changing their mind, now that the floodwaters are reaching their front door and after half the nation has been telling them for a decade that the flood was coming.
They deserve absolutely no respect from anyone, they are responsible for the mess we are in. The MINIMUM they can do is change their mind. That's the absolute minimum, and it should have been done a decade ago.
Cornsland
You've been loyal to a party that has been cruel to the working class and poor for decades. This is nothing new, but now it affects YOU personally you're suddenly "considering" changing vote? Get f*cked.
You reap what you bloody sow. Hope you and every other Tory voter loses their pension just like anyone under the age of 40 has had their future ripped away from a decade of Tory incompetence.
TFE
Tax cuts for the highest earners to supposedly spur economic growth IS blood trickle-down economics you fool.
That's what the Tories are offering. Just because you like to call a spade a shoe, doesn't mean everyone else has to follow suit with the utterly naive drivel you spout.
"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."
1984 really is becoming more and more like reality with the fanatical cultists that comprise modern day Tory voters.
It is absolutely absurd.
Lol Gate13 just copy/pasting an entire Allister Heath article and half the Tory thickos on this board think it's an original thought. The man ain't had an original thought since the 70s.
Literally the only economic policy the Tories have is trickle down economics that have been repeatedly shown for decades not to spur growth. Complete head in the sand, fantasy land beliefs as per usual from the cultists that can't handle reality.
"Wriggling?", bit bloody rich from the guy that turns every argument into an argument about something else. I can't wait for this to turn into an argument about the SNP, or whatever grievance you find next on your soap box. You're so f*cking tiring to talk to because you can't seem to focus on anything for more than two minutes. You're a really weird, old right-wing nutter clearly suffering from dementia, completely incapable of following a conversation and it is EXHAUSTING.
I've already written, numerous times now, my views on immigration and you seem yet you continue to struggle to understand them. I keep referring you to my original post, which answers every question you keep repeating...
I know it's hard to understand complicated subjects and big long words, but please do try. Go get your meds, a mug of coffee, and focus.
Reaganomics did not work. There is plenty data to prove it. There are numerous studies showing it does not work, I've quoted numerous ones below. You can put your fingers in your ears and sing "la la la I can't hear you" all you want, but that doesn't detract from the truth. And the markets work on reality, not the Tory fantasy you live in.
"I'm asking you if you think that is a responsible policy for the UK economy."
Well clearly Liz does...
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/sep/24/liz-truss-plans-to-loosen-immigration-rules-to-boost-uk-economy
The number of people betting on something has no bearing on the likelihood of it happening. The odds are what matter. More people are betting on Tories because they have favourable odds, nothing more.
I can't believe I have to explain the absolute basics of gambling to someone, but that's the sort of intelligence I'm dealing with here.
"A 2012 study by the Tax Justice Network indicates that wealth of the super-rich does not trickle down to improve the economy, but it instead tends to be amassed and sheltered in tax havens with a negative effect on the tax bases of the home economy."
"A 2015 paper by researchers for the International Monetary Fund argues that there is no trickle-down effect as the rich get richer: If the income share of the top 20 percent (the rich) increases, then GDP growth actually declines over the medium term, suggesting that the benefits do not trickle down. In contrast, an increase in the income share of the bottom 20 percent (the poor) is associated with higher GDP growth."
"In 2016, Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz wrote that the post-World War II evidence does not support trickle-down economics, but rather "trickle-up economics" whereby more money in the pockets of the poor or the middle benefits everyone."
"A 2019 study in the Journal of Political Economy found contrary to the claims of trickle-down theory that "the positive relationship between tax cuts and employment growth is largely driven by tax cuts for lower-income groups and that the effect of tax cuts for the top 10 percent on employment growth is small."
"A 2020 working paper by London School of Economics and Political Science researchers compared the results of countries that passed tax cuts in a specific year with those that did not, over a five decade period from 1965 to 2015 in the 18 member countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. It found that contrary to the claims of trickle-down theory, tax cuts for the rich had no "significant effect on employment or economic growth". They found no evidence that the cuts induced "labour supply responses" from high-income individuals (i.e. "lead to more hours of work, more effort, etc.") that boosted economic activity."
Need I go on? Decades of studies showing current Tory policy does NOTHING to grow the economy.
