Bonjour!
T - thanks for the news roundup, very useful. My fingers were not fleet this morning, but good to know what's going on. Sounds like you had a profitable day yesterday - great skills!
S - noticed the bump up in HUR and thought of you.
Have a good day everyone.
Morning all - sunny here too but clouds looming....
I've had a busy start - sold IAG,CCL, CPI and Fres, rebought fres and cpi. Whew. that's quite enough!
Dog minding today, daughter's sweet natured mini pitbull, so 2 leads and lots of potential for chaos on forthcoming walk.
Good to hear so many of us are fully jabbed.
Have a good day y'all.
Morning all
T - hope your back is better - the sustained rain should help your hay fever
Ncyt seems to be moving. Wonder if the rise will be sustained?
Could be an interesting week for the travel shares....and hospitality
Courage!
T - sounds a bit of a rubbish day. My sympathy. In similar circumstances I'd walk dog (to get the pollen exposure out of the way!) then apply ibuprofen, hot bath, antihistamine, stiff drink, hot water bottle, sloppy clothing and bad tv.
n&N - re numbers - I can possibly beat you, but would need to count
V -I'm watching the x shares, you're right- the abadabba spread is baffling. Bravo on the syme.
O - 'camper van inflation' made me snort. Are you sticking with what you've got? I regularly toy with the idea of changing ours but although it's tatty, the layout and features take some beating, and newer ones are £££££'s
Just been Pfizered. Town full of covid motivational messages, surge testing info, and officious looking yellow vested wardens, reminiscent of dads army. Clearly this pandemic aint over!
T - I think Percy is the only c0ck for about 3 miles, but a peahen 'Miss Pee' lives about a mile away. Maybe she's not lonely anymore.
Morning briggers
Grey but warmer here today - appts for 2nd jab later this morning, we are in a variant hotspot.
T - I thought Arb was likely to bump up today after the muskrat's activities over the last few days - nonetheless I think selling was the right thing for you to do. (I'm still holding)
Bloombergs Ocdo musings - interesting. I'd favour the impact of big buys instead but folks in my area are certainly nervy, so on that theme I sold pfc and bought Roo this morning.
& maybe the neighbours have seen Percy off :-( although it could be foxes, or bullying crows and magpies...or even a girlfriend?
Good morning
Well I'm wondering if this slide will bounce or snowball, but largely adopting the ostrich position :-)
Speaking of birds Percy has been absent a week now
Apart from being mesmerised this morning I bought Boo @ 299 and sold at 305, then bought PFC @ 137 - have to see how that goes.
Courage!
Been reading back – there’s a lot to take in. Kev/kaz, N & C – you all are mentioning things I’ve never heard of, which is a combination of baffling and (thank you!) educational.
C – Luk 2 – I googled, but I don’t really get what this leveraged thingy is – do you just buy and sell it at the price quoted?
Kev/kaz – CWR – is that ceres power? Ooh-err.
N – the bank shares, do you trade or hold them. I notice there’s always a high volume so assume some people day trade them.
S – I’m in awe of your diy/building persistence. Plus trying to be inspired. Unfortunately the vehicle, house, garden list keeps getting longer.
Sun is out so I’m girding my loins and taking the dog. Fully expecting grey skies and hailstones will return before the hour is out.
Enjoy the day everyone!
Morning all briggers
Apologies for non-participation, I’ve had several days of dealing with ‘real life stuff’ but fc back to near normal now.
Yesterday was interesting, like a mesmerised rabbit, I found it slightly thrilling the way it didn’t stop. Like V - it seems my pf includes only the droppers (apart from a tiny touch of beg and saga)
O – Thanks for the snippets of things which would pass me by. I wouldn't tell them my name either. Re the beg – amusing how yesterday the insolvency practitioner did well. Anything report on the (new/old) campers?
T –Sorry to take so long answering. I parted with my asc £19 up, which was pathetic, should have done much better, but I get a jittery jinxy feeling whenever its onboard. I am most impressed by your concentration on just 7 stocks, very sensible for a host of reasons. Not sure I could do it at this stage – I’m still learning, testing, trying stuff.
V – noticed your x rated Abingdon is doing well, bet you’re glad you omitted to sell : -)
It may be another unexpected day - Courage!
Ahh - the skimpy girlie throwaway clothing brands. Wouldn't order from them, but I've been in and out of boo this morning for penny profits and I've just swapped to asc. (sorry T, hope I don't blight your usual in and out trade - as you know asc doesn't usually 'work' for me)
I've also sold and rebought TUI
It's stopped snowing, so coat on and a quick dog walk. Weather is as bonkers as the markets.
No - I thought it was funny O - always tempting to give extremism an extreme reaction. I know Macron has his own political problems - but if the French threaten to cut the cable you'd imagine he'd know he'd be driving us into the arms of the Dutch. EDF are down on Euronext.....
Morning briggers
Lazy start to the morning -slept badly and feeling dopey. Not really engaged with the market - too much too puzzling, as is frequent at the moment, I'm not feeling confident so doing almost nowt.
O - I feel your pain. I think camper vans resent being parked up - always expect problems when ours has not had a lengthy run. Consider us lucky to have a good, old fashioned garage with a guy who knows his onions. Not been anywhere so far this year apart from for an mot :-)
T - back any better?
Courage!
Morning all
Wild and windy here - glad I've not shed my clouts.
T - bravo on the fres - that was a nifty move. I have just flogged my tui - hoping it will fall back later when the faux optimism wanes. Sorry to hear your back is still troubling - I deploy hot water bottles, chocolate and ibuprofen, in between trying to keep moving.
Hope everyone had a good weekend - I did nowt.
Bon chance
Dozing after a mega brunch - eggs, bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, toms and beans, plus way too much toast and homemade marmalade. That'll be it until tonight.
Wonder if S has seen hur? - think it's one of his pets, massively down, but clawing some back.
