Yeah, but you also have to manage risk. Nothing is more likely to see you suffer a portfolio wipe out, or take a hair cut that sets you back years, than a default HODL strategy.
As mentioned previously, my first buy here was in the 18's. I ended up buying a lot, and at many different price points, all the way down.
Because I was a convictionist about the PM space in the long term. Cos fiat currencies etc. And to a large degree, I retain similar thoughts on this.
But as was seen with POLY, and with one of Barrick's African mines very recently...and a bunch of other mining assets across the third world in the past, you simply cannot entirely dismiss geopolitical risks in this space either.
It has been a close shave in Mexico a few times since I have been a holder and before then too. Right now, fingers crossed, they have a reasonably sensible political administration. And we are helped with who owns the company to a large extent as well, IMO.
IMO, what we are seeing today is only a healthy pull back. The chart still remains excellent, even if we are very expensive on fundamentals.
I think we have further to run and am not ready to cash out my final position yet. But for the reasons above, I would not be adding here either, pleased though I am that others feel differently. GLA.
