The lack of anyone buying it, or even a JV, after all these years, makes me think that it is of very limited value, even if we see elevated and sustained prices in that commodity.

In fairness, you could pretty much say the same for the Mag 7 across the Pond. Have a look at the graph that shows the disparity between them and the rest of the index.

But, like here, opportunities to profit do exist plentifully, if you are willing to trade.

Yeah. Me too. My chief concern has always been (and still is) that ordinary shareholders will not get their dues.

Hopefully this will prove otherwise in time, and certainly some grants would be more than welcome, although as long as the loan terms are indeed favourable, then that is fine too. GLA.

Seems like buttons to me, and it will be interesting to see if they have a lock up period for these shares.

And whether or not they honour it.

But, it is another disposal that will raise some cash, so fair play on that front.

Well, I bought around another 3K's worth in total yesterday, so did my bit to clear the overhang, lol. GLA.

My gut feeling yesterday was reliable it seems, although it might have been evident in the charts, and I just did not spot it.

Anyway, we are still very much in the same range and channel as we were before IMO, so like others, I too might repurchase a few in the days ahead, depending on how things look then.

I see nothing that suggests such a thing.

All I see is a SP in a fairly tight range right now, with a retest of the 50 DMA likely soon (and perhaps even needed).

I have added a few more again this morning and have another couple of tiddler buy orders in the pipes for that slightly lower level as well.

Buy backs will continue to chomp this overhang in the meantime. GLA.

I agree and have no doubt that they will have undertaken an extraordinary amount of dd for such a venture.

Something like this is, IMO, a career-enhancer or destroyer.

Touch wood, the SP suggests that the main shareholders are sufficiently supportive of the project.

Hopefully we will all be singing the praises of the BOD in a couple of years and beyond, for taking on this bold venture. GLA.

It feels like it is either an amazing piece of business that is going to be hugely successful in the years ahead, and maybe take this company to a new level....or an expensive mistake. Especially given the basket case location in question.

Fractionally positive market response so far, but perhaps we need to give it a week or so to get a better indication. A hold for me right now, FWIW. GLA.

Been adding a few myself, here and there, in the 81p and below region, in the past few days.

More with that mid 90's gap fill in mind, rather than the dividend (of which I made my opinions known before, lol).

But if I get circa 14% cap gain on this overall trade, then another 1.4% div on top will be better than a boot in the plums :)

My current position is certainly not big enough for a 1.4% dividend to be worthwhile in itself though.

I agree the chart looks ugly at the time of print.

But the RSI suggests it is currently a buy. As does the MACD. Depending on what time frame you choose to use.

Taking into consideration the fundamentals, the imminent (fairly juicy) dividend ex date...gentleman's bet says we at least test 3 quid before ex div.

Needless to say, just my thoughts and not advice to buy etc.

I am a big fan of his as well. Learn to Earn is a book that is IMO essential reading for anyone who enjoys this stuff.

But I think that WB, while full of praise for PL generally, felt that he traded too much, and managed a p/f of too many stocks :)

Yeah, while I think keeping back plenty of dry powder when the markets are elevated, or fairly elevated, is a sound strategy, the idea of selling everything for a chunk of each year before buying back is unsound. And indeed has been academically researched and de-bunked, I understand.

Still just a trade for me, but nothing has happened since my initial purchase here the other day, so I think this is simply in a little trend right now.

Unless the wider markets wet the bed, I think it unlikely it will retest the year lows prior to ev div at least (and perhaps not even after that).

But if it does, how much more delightful will the yield be then?

5.4% dividend right now, which I will be happy to collect if my exit price does not hit first. GLA.

Hardly a DEI non-job hire though, by the looks of it, so a mouth worth feeding, one would anticipate.
