In spite of this, I agree rate cuts seem likely later this year - but most importantly, as long as the BOD meet those expectations that you cite, then I also agree that this company will weather the storm.

Well, it is a good story, Ashton. But the actions taken over the years have led to a share price and explosion of shares in issue, that tell a less enjoyable tale. To put it politely.

You are naturally hoping for a happy ending. We shall see whether this book provides such a thing (for newer holders anyway), or if the twist in the tale is one that would make the Brothers Grimm scream in horror.

I am pretty relaxed with my own average, thanks.

Obviously I am still confident that at some point I will have the chance to take profits (or let it run further), but there is absolutely no way that the markets have collectively bottomed at the time of print. AIMO of course.

Got a buy order at 103p. Slightly higher than I had it set for yesterday.

Satisfactory inside buy (and not before time!) but this market requires extreme caution IMO, hence not just jumping in for another tranche this morning.

At some point we will have finally printed a low. Perhaps that day will be today, but right now, it is a new low print, and IMO we will have at least another one or two before a base starts to form on the SP.

Ideally a strong reversal to the upside too, which often (but not always) indicates that a bottom has been found. We shall see. GLA.

I have put a buy order in for 71p. Might not revisit the lows of the day of course, hence placing it a couple of pence higher. I think I will get that target price at some point, this afternoon perhaps, but if not, so be it.

Not going to chase a stock in this market. Update was underwhelming, but as others have suggested, not a disaster either.

I am hoping we see a range to trade and I am plumping for 70-80p, perhaps up to 85p even. It feels particularly appropriate to make such a gamble with this name :) GLA.

After Ashton's post last night, I was kind of expecting an RNS today with Disko news.

Instead, the market is still awaiting an update on the specifics of the strategy.

I think the raise covers around another year to keep the lights on as things stand, especially if they make significant headcount cuts, but just my opinion. I agree though that the BOD should have clarified this position in this update.

The only real positive that I take from this is the inside buying. Well, the bigger purchase anyway, and like another poster mentioned, it would be good to know whether the BOD are going to take a salary cut too in the restructure, and if so, specifics.

Not sure I agree with that. I mean, the update is not going to make me pull the shares I bought for my kids the other day, but equally I would not be surprised to see us revisit the low 70's either.

Watching with interest and tempted to take a few for a trade if I see a window, but not investing for myself off the back of that update either. Not in the 80's anyway.

Hopefully the boss buys another big chunk today. It was his big purchase last year that caught my attention in the first place. GLA.

Which is fine, depending on the price per share, the amount of dilution involved and the runway it gives.

A cash raise via alternative methods would be preferable. After all, how big are our costs currently?

Your assumption at that time seems to have been correct. Well, the raise bit anyway. Forward selling is of course illegal, so I am sure that nothing so underhanded as that occurred.

I guess it gives you a bit more road now to try and sell those various assets, although as usual, LTH's get diluted heavily once again with no guarantees.

It will be interesting to see if the SP holds up to the suggested placing price in the days ahead.

From what I have seen elsewhere this past year or so, I cannot think of any occasions where it has, but I might have missed the odd one along the way.

Anyway, I hope you get good Disko news soon. IMO that is the only thing that might give current shareholders with a (current) low average a chance of making fairly good profits here. I simply do not think all the other stuff is going to bring much to the table, especially in this climate. But time will tell. GLA.

Glad my price did not hit. Not sure the data is going to impress the market sufficiently to create a strong and sustained bounce in the markets.

I am going to digest the data in the morning and set a buy order for around 102p, unless it is an extreme update.

Might not get it of course, but IMO the overall trend is still lower, so the probabilities of 107.35p being the bottom is, I think, very slim. If it is, so be it. GLA.

This market is showing signs of (another) classic bear pattern now.

We need the next update to be strong (rare for this one), otherwise we could see mid, maybe even low 4's, IMO.

Unless gold and silver do what we hope it will. Then perhaps at long last, this nag might run properly, as it has done a couple of times in the past.

I also said that I would not even rule out the 80's at some point either, in one of the earlier posts on this thread, too.

A logical possibility - indeed perhaps likelihood - in the event of a serious market correction.

Which we may, or may not, get, before I reach the target price I have in mind here.

To the poster citing 90's: is that based on a fib retrace, or another indicator? I use a few of the more obvious ones, but fib calculations only occasionally.

So, if it halves to 2% by April...they will still be well off their mandate of average 2% inflation.

Cannot risk letting the little people offset some of the high inflation they endured in the past 18 months or so, eh?

IMO, we are simply moving with the general markets. CPI and PPI data tomorrow for us, which is likely to impact sentiment one way or the other. Not to mention the ongoing Red Sea stuff.

Maybe a retest of that 110p ish level this afternoon, depending on how things go across the Pond.

Agree. But you think this one looks fishy? I have seen broker updates one day before X company was due to publish results!

Usually a sell, or a buy to neutral rating. Always, as far as I can remember, the update was to the upside.

Not saying that will happen in this case, although obviously it would be welcome.

The update does need to be good enough to maintain the current dividend though, or IMO the CEO will start to feel the heat. Justifiably, IMO.

But, let us hope they deliver strong results. I would far rather have to revise my target exit price up, or indeed change my plan to putting this in the long term hold allocation. GLA.

Well done. The opportunity cost is easily dismissed, especially on AIM stocks, so you clearly made the right call.

Even more so as you bailed at 10p, rather than now, where it could go either way.
