As they also will if forward guidance points to dark clouds.

I am delighted with the SP here at the time of print, and stock markets can stay elevated for much longer than is sensible (see the months leading up to the GFC, for example).

Furthermore, while I agree markets love stability (so a Labour majority is probably already priced in), I have to disagree with your statement that things are looking up for the UK consumer.

Look at the level of private credit card debt; the recent results of many discretionary retail outlets (here and across the Pond). Quite a few other indicators as well.

Wages have certainly gone up in some sectors, but not sure this has been universal by any stretch.

And we need to see at least several consecutive months of circa 2% inflation before we can perhaps claim that inflation has been tamed.

We certainly all seem to have forgotten that it is meant to be average 2% inflation. Perhaps the BoE will let a period of deflation set in, to offset some of the inflationary pain of the past couple of years, and get us back to that 2% inflation average? Lol.

But like I said, happy with the SP here and hopeful of seeing my target price, regardless of my take on the macro stuff. GLA.

For the size of it, IMO it was not a nudge, but either way, that is two decent-sized inside buys now since the last (poor) update.

The accountants that they use are hardly minnows in their field, so I am not sure the blame can be laid at their door for this failure to file on time. And this is hardly the first time HARL has missed a deadline either, is it?

Anyway, it is what it is and like others have already said, the long and short of it remains the same as it has for a long time now - finance.

Probably no bad thing that this is suspended, ideally until that is sorted, one way or the other, but it still gives (another) bad impression of company management.

IMO we need to get above 430p-ish and hold that level for at least a few days, before we can potentially consider that the bottom has been put in.

You would assume that the BOD will not miss the amended guidance, indeed we should expect it to come in around the top end of the adjusted numbers.

In their shoes, having had to give the recent (unwelcome) update, presumably they have veered towards a highly cautious range, for obvious reasons.

Sure, we all have the option to sell up, and sooner or later SOH will run out of excuses (and SBTX shares to sell or alternative cash raise avenues) and will have to make this profitable on its own merits...or not.

I appreciate that you seem to have some relevant experience in this niche area.

But that does not change the fact that SOH has paid himself extremely generously all these years and has still not delivered an operation that is starting to reward shareholders, let alone one that has stopped needing to get the begging bowl out from shareholders, as the fairly recent raise attests to.

Not to mention the stupidity of not listing ProBiotix on AIM, if indeed it was worth spinning it off anyway.

A cynic might conclude that doing so has only really benefited him, rather than the whole shareholder base. Unnecessary costs and on an opaque exchange, to boot.

Oh, and why have we still not got any quality names on the major shareholder roster if he is doing so well?

No disrespect to FYFCF (who saw fit to reduce recently anyway), but they are hardly in the same league as Slater, or PMI for example.

I would probably have sold, or at least reduced, myself, had I been a shareholder at that time and seen that inside sell.

Nevertheless, while it is no certainty that he has bought some back near the bottom, and notwithstanding the fact it is still only a fraction of the profits he made back then, one would imagine he still is not looking to chuck £100K down the toilet either. Time will tell. GLA.

It is a decent enough inside-sized purchase for me to have a small nibble myself now.

It does not mean the bottom is in (in fact almost certainly not, given I just bought!) but hopefully not too far off.

And hopefully the first of a few inside buys for that matter.

True. But late 2022 was a late stage (mini) bear market. We are now close to ATH's. Same across the Pond. Albeit, and rather interestingly, fewer and fewer mega cap stocks essentially keeping the whole thing up, over there.

Of course, we could still have more road to the upside here and the US. New ATH's perhaps. It would be entirely contrary to the macro picture, but that is neither here nor there, when it comes to trading (or proper long term investing).

Anyway, we are a fair way off the 150p range, where I expect to see a decent amount of resistance, let alone the 170's. So likely plenty of time to consider whether I should aim higher. Or lower, naturally. GLA.

I am finding the SP movement fascinating in this one. My TA is simply not good enough to understand it, but the chart action just 'feels' slightly different to what you normally see in these situations.

I thought the bottom was probably in earlier this morning, but now I am unsure. It has not confirmed yet, IMO.

Equally, that it has not broken 400p yet, also makes it increasingly compelling, to my mind.

Generally try to avoid trading on Fridays, unless something particularly notable comes up, so probably will sit back on this one for now and see if next week throws up some more possible mini trades. Although anything in the low 90's feels like real accumulation territory IMO. Subject to the usual caveats etc.

Agree the chart looks good, and would not be surprised to see a retest of that 83p-ish level in normal circumstances, but with the GE looming (same day as ex div here of course!) I am going to sit on my hands at these prices.

Just like a market can irrationally keep a 'cheap' ticker down for a long time, so the reverse is true.

No idea when that one is going to pull back, but you would imagine before the psychological 2 quid level. If that breaks, could easily run to 220p ish IMO.

Keeping a casual eye on that now to see how it plays out, but no interest in taking a position today.
