Stocks101, all that you have missed is that ALL tech stocks across the globe have had a big drop and ITM are simply caught up in that. Anyone coming up with ITM-specific reasons are missing the bigger picture. I have six stocks that might be considered as tech and all have dropped over the last couple of days, including a broad tech IT and a Biotech IT, this is not just ITM or Hydrogen or energy or green tech. Tides turn, tech is out of favour this week. Relax, sentiment will change again sooner or later.

To be more accurate, though, they didn't say it was an electrolyser, it was an "upstream hydrogen generator" and it might be more consistent with AB's message-of-the-day if it was an ammonia cracker.

??? They're all showing as sells and priced below the mid-point between bid and ask.

Got to say I'm a bit surprised by this. If MS are correct and all future electrolyser orders go through the JV with Linde, then this is surely a major change to the overall business model and needed to be declared more publicly than at an investors presentation? It certainly wasn't spelled out in the interim results RNS, and can only have been shown in the analysts and investors call that afternoon. What does that mean for the other MoUs that have been signed - it would seem strange if these sales were all routed through ILE GMBH. Indeed, since ILE orders were reported as a separate line on the interim results, it would be actively misleading if the other sales were also through that company.

Bottom line is that this is very difficult to believe. All European sales through ILE perhaps, but I can't see it being worldwide.

was from the April RNS, but not included in the new RNS today. I don't know if that is deliberate and the reason for issuing a repeat of the RNS.

Yes, but the RNS is almost a straight repeat of the RNS on 20 April announcing the Capital Markets Event. The only difference is that the new one says nothing about the content or who will be presenting...

They could still issue an RNS just before the event - it doesn't have to be at start of day.

Duke, that's certainly the way it reads...although that would suggest that the first race had perhaps been running on H2 that had been trucked in rather than produced on site (I'm not sure we ever did see the solar panels?). BUT it raises a further intriguing question on the H2 production - if this an in-house "solution", do we have an economically viable alkaline membrane electrolyser up our sleeve?

It will potentially allow them, in the future, to issue new shares in the new company and use these to raise finance by selling shares in the motive company. While that could be via a separate float on the market, I would think it is more likely that it would be by means of a deal with one of the existing big players in the filling station business. It means that the new finance would not be at the cost of a share dilution for ITM PLC's existing shareholders.

The RNS is pretty clear - it's a wholly owned subsidiary. It has been set up with a single share, registered as being owned by ITM Power PLC.

They are also expanding the battery storage capacity at Whitelee.

My understanding is that the addition of Hydrogen at Whitelee is using PEM electrolysers made by ITM and will primarily provide H2 for bus use.

This seems to happen from time to time on HL, with Euro prices being logged as pence at close of business, these are often not changed until after opening next day. Also occasional random prices for UK stocks (normally giving a price near their all-time high for about an hour after close) . Gives quite a shock when you just look at the bottom line, until you work out where they have made their mistake.

Re the MoD, you need to remember that submarines have been operating complex systems in the field of electricity and gasses for many years - way ahead of the current climate-induced shift into that technology. UK company TPG have been providing the systems solutions for electrolysis, through their marine division. In many ways, TPG is a similar entity to Ricardo in that they have fingers in a wide array of pies, yet remain a very small company and both are involved in the research on systems infrastructure for hydrogen use in the rail industry.
