just a measly 5p per share here would be fairly life changing for my kids
Made more than a few quid buying on lows and selling on spikes and have accumulated a very decent holding at a low average that I will add to if I think the time is right.
Like you lost more than a few quid on VOG etc but fortunately made a packet on IMM before it went tits up. That was a multibagger for me.

Anyone who invests money in a non profit making AIM pharma stock like Sareum in all reality is a rainbow chaser like me who is prepared to make a very high risk speculative investment with the hope that the gamble will come off and the return will be many multiples of the funds invested.
History tells us that the probability of a compound failing to make it through clinical trials is extremely high and the fact that the company is listed on the very poorly regulated AIM Casino doesn't do anything other than extend the odds against the investment being a success.
Imo we have got a good as chance as of any similar type of stock of hitting the jackpot here as from all data in the public domain the science to date has been excellent and we have now progressed to a strong position of negotiating a deal.
Have only ever invested spare money here and am prepared to go in and out with the tide and wait for SAR to negotiate a deal.

If you had been following the action you would know that Sierra are a long way off from being skint..

A bit of dosh in the bank will help give a bit of strength to any negotiations and surely the receipt of a milestone payment can't be too far off.
Whatever the market reaction to the placing will bring today we should quickly bounce back to current SP levels imo.

In the absence of a milestone payment a placing was inevitable.
Long hard road here , but every possibility that the long wait will have been worthwhile.

Re potential suitors
The problem is that to get on board here, the cost is going to be many millions
So they have to be as certain as can be of a positive outcome for any funds invested
An awful lot of due diligence required before all the ducks are lined up giving enough confidence to make the plunge
Tim and co wont let anyone get on board here on the cheap as CRUK did with the CHK1 deal.
Cant deny though it has been one hell of a long wait

Sensible view rayboy imo to take the side of caution at this current time.
If we don't receive a milestone payment then in the continued absence of a deal a placing at some time near to medium term will be on the cards.
Would definitely buy in now if I was making a purchase for the first time as we are all aware of the potential multibag on a deal .
But as an existing shareholder , it seems to me better to wait and add either after a placement or straight after a milestone payment has come to the table.

Great summary and imo the conclusions you have made seem about right.

The MMs determine the SP.
Their aim is to move the SP up and down to levels that will encourage as many trades while at the same time keeping a balanced book .
In the absence of news its common practice for the SP to be dropped to a level that will panic shareholders to sell and encourage bottom seekers to buy.
The reality is that VAL are no different than any other AIM non profit making entity in the sense that the bod will raise funds on the future prospects of the company by hook or crook whenever possible to keep the company afloat while at the same time paying themselves as much as they can get away with.
Certainly some companies are better managed than others and the failings of this bod in terms of financial management have imo been well documented .
So what have we got here . We have typical AIM drug development play . Most very high risk v high reward stocks fall by the way .
But fortunately the science has proved excellent here so far .
Until official sources tell us otherwise, any one invested at around current levels are still in it to win it and why not.
Its still very much a goer as far as I am concerned.

If my memory serves me right . Another KF whopper . He stated at an AGM many years ago that the KGB were on to that old Russian bird that diddled VOG out of it and that he expected some imminent news with expectation the that we were likely to get it back
According to the dictionary the term imminent doesn't mean highly unlikely or never going to happen which is the way most of VOGs imminent statements have in reality panned out.
Still look in here the odd time and sincerely hope that something positive will happen to turn all the remaining long term holders here fortunes around.

SAR shares are a buy at this present time moment in my book.
Hoping one of the others in my p/f will take off so I can juggle a bit of dosh around to buy 200,000 more which will then be my lot.
May have to use a bit of new money.
Racing at Yarmouth this week and off to jersey the week after .
If the SP is in the same range as now in a couple of weeks then I will add to my holding by hook or crook.

The problem with any website similar to LSE that provides free access to one and all is that it often attracts all the dross like a magnet .
a bonus is that amongst the garbage posted by the likes of tozerk and co there are a few decent posts that are informative and lead to some decent discussion.
From all known information it seems highly likely that VAL will manage to negotiate a deal in the not too distant future.
Certainly bad management decisions regarding types of funding arranged that has decimated the value of many long termers shareholding but for those with lower averages at least this high risk v high reward stock has a reasonable chance of producing a compound that will make the market.
We shall soon see I would have thought.

Should continue to gain a bit of momentum towards 8 to 10p .
The rise will be underpinned imo by the fact that the figures number crunched to estimate the SP once production commences are based on a 9 year mine life . Additional stated resources once proved which are undisputed will give us an extended mine life of 20 years plus. What's more we have the capacity to improve production and profitability.
As good a medium term investment as any on AIM at the moment I would have thought.

As long as the science remains positive then there is no point imo in not seeing it through.
The current SP means nothing as it will either multiply or reduce considerably on relevant news.
We will know one way or another before the end of September I would have thought.
Will the gamblers and risk takers like me invested here turn a coin at the end of the day.

Main holding here but have MTFB , EVG , VAL and ORM as well.
Up a fair bit on ORM and expect their shares to motor from now leading up to first production planned for around year end. Worth a look.
Have had a decent year to date . Made a lot on IMM by selling on spikes before bad news broke the camels back and took a loss on what I had left which was not too many . Made a fair bit on EVG by buying low and selling on a very good spike , have bought in low again.

Big rise here on the cards once commissioning is completed and production commences towards year end.
No doubt the levels of buying here will increase from now on in anticipation .
SP should begin to push up towards the 10p mark imo.
For LTHs like myself the long wait should prove worthwhile.
