Really interesting reading about the deal Kestrel did with KKR to take IQGeo private. Seems a very similar situation with TIG, apart from Kestrel holding more shares in TIG than they held in IQGeo when the cash acquisition in May was announced.

I can't see much wrong with the buyback myself. They unfortunately have to follow many rules in place with volume, daily share price, weekly share price, etc.

Look at yesterday's RNS, the buyback went big when it dropped in price yesterday, maybe it was MM/broker games to buy more after past few days they weren't able to buy many.

The leasehold acreage gets very interesting with the suspected Trump administration being a lot more pro drill drill drill for US producers and gas prices increasing.

On tuesday Blackrock increased it's holding... You really can't go off one daily RNS with Blackrock to say Blackrock is currently selling or buying. Their holding goes up and down all the time.

Agreed MrG, another new deal announced and interim results out the way too, expected to be out of any closed period.

The placings in the US and bigger than normal buybacks in London are just another step to move the main listing to NY is my guess. That seems the long term plan.
