Oh well a good week but all work & no play makes jack a dull boy, but different type of gambling today off to twickers for the Autumn Intls so going to have some rugger bets. Any tips ! I have a spare ticket willing to sell for cost price to a fan if anyone interested ?

Its all Gambling you do all the same things research , past results , movement on price etc. I am just way better gambling on the stock market. I was up Doncaster races this weekend which was disaster . I was much luckier with the fillies at the gentlemans club in Donny though !

A blip paddy is not a crash but I am sure it will have some impact on the day of the announcement one way or the other after all this hype . If Rachel reeves farts the SP drops a bit ! But if she leaves the banking sector alone on the 25th I bet the SP will climb like crazy . Just protecting my interests like any sensible investor .

I gonna sell a chunk of all my bank stocks & hold cash until things settle down & buy back in . There is going to be a blip no doubt ! But with constant climbs & new 52 wks highs there will also be a lot of natural profit taking , But its not hurting the SP yet going by opening prices & yet new 52 wks high ! I must admit I havnt watched the market this closely for a while but as my PF is approx 70% Banking sector i thought I better buckle down !

Sorry Geoff hard to forget the HBOS saga but i have a few friends who had to extend their careers due to this diabolical scenario & but I hope you bounced back like they did.

Hey Chips I see i am ahead of you in the Meerkat sweep but surprised i was more bullish than you. But a new 52 wk high as we speak & 90 to be touched very shortly. You have called it for most of the year ! 88.94 !!!!!!!

Most people are unaware of this levy on the bank during this period but I suggest the sector needed taking down a peg or two . However this suggested levy on this sector because they are following the rules & are again successful is a slippery slope. However going by recent upgrades it does appear that it does not worry the market all that (UBS increased target to 665 yesterday from 590) . But I am hoping the advisors behind RR will understand the folly in this strategy . Anyway creeping up to another 52 wk high as we speak & we will soon be hitting UBS old target of 590 ! Good luck chaps & time to select the Port & Wine for Xmas !

LOL Dead will I think CP policy is now a dead duck but at least goal was scored by Eze ! But i agree bank sector very bullish with LLOy & NWG both hitting 52 wk highs . Good to see my old bank JPM now championing the UK banking sector ! Well it wasnt called JPM in my day in the 80's. PS I really think 600 is a possibility tomorrow & ftse 100 to go over 9700 !

We have hit a new 52 wk high this morning & just 1 on topic post only pure bliss ! HSBC to report tomorrow so perhaps new highs ahead to look forward too.

The push has started this morning already nearing our old 52 wk high & targeting 590 , Perhaps the JP Morgan rating is spot on ? Dead if my memory recalls I am sure we all suffered those PE in our youth ! However I note you used the word trickle in the same post so you are also spot on there ! NWG sp is going to race to 600 not trickle I suggest . Good luck all .
