Agreed Theo a couple of my friends had to extend their working life & then also had to scale back on their retirement expectations. I guess you could say they are wealthy pensioners now but they worked their socks off to retire early . But the old adage of eggs all in basket certainly applies here . I know dead has a joke about profit taking until NWG hits their full potential but I have been slowly diversifying my P/F in this sector with these friends in mind but with SP rising as fast as it has my % by value in my P/F has hardly altered at all, mind you I have built up a nice holding in BP in the process which still has an impressive yield. But everyone a winner with NWG at the mo. Roll on results day .

Good logic Theo , i really hope some of the longer term staff of NWG claw back what they lost , I had a few friends who got caught out by the fallout of RBS & caused life changing events for them . But yep I bet we creep up to normal levels before results day !

Yep Macclesfield deserved it , reading their Story on their rebirth i would suggest most CP fans have a lot of respect for them as we have been in a similar position ourselves several times. 1k invested in LLoy & NWG with drip you would have been better of with NWG over a 5 year period buy quite a chunk LLOY over 5 years 171.65% growth NWG 271.75 5 years 261.75% if I could be botherered to factor in divi re-invested the margin would be higher ! I would say their potential growth for thsi year is neck & neck Charles. I am sure our resident experts will have an opinion as well !

As long as there is something in it for the private investors I am past caring . Take Alison Rose incident she was guilty as sin but it took the whole country to get behind the movement for her sacking. I bet she left with most of her bonus intact as well although reported she didnt ! NWG will bounce back & glad a few of you used their spare change on the dip !
