I bought recently AVCT on the back of the exiting potential of Affimer technology for therapeutic. But on the test kit operation side of AVCT I understand all is still in development I wonder without going to read all the rns, if AVCT test-kit has been approved by any authority or Country yet? The CE marking should be very easy to get has Europe rely on companies to self validate the product, the same is happening with FDA on emergency license . I hope AVCT test-kit hasn't been validated yet because I am looking forward to the news flow it will generate. But on the therapeutic side of Affimers I suspect there will be still lots more to come.

...don't get me wrong please. My comment is just about how things stands right now between VIR and AVCT and their potential to bring a drug to the market, but this doesn't exclude that both companies drugs will reach the market, and that both drugs will receive funds to develop further research, trials licensing and production.
Maybe the point I am trying to make is that I am a big believer of novel drugs in general, but I wouldn't put all my hopes on one technology just because is the latest craze.
I am sure none of us is able to fully understand the technical data of theses clinical trials, on these potential novel drugs., so to claim that AVCT has found a miracle drug is completely unfounded. Yes the technology is revolutionary and got lots of potential but it needs to go trough all the stages necessary to be approved. In a way this will create more positive news in the pipeline and the share price may skyrocket, but of course there are risks attached.

Well finally today I bought some AVCT as well. From a technical point its more of a gamble, but I suppose the news pipeline will support the sp.
Still it won't be wise to place all my bets on one technology (affimers) and I am planning to invest in VIR as well this affternoon.
In all true I think VIR has a better chance to reach the market with its drug development based on antibodies, they have the baking of GSK among other collaboration already in place, and also the Gates are donors of some of VIR drug developments. Moreover I discover that the head or recently announced operation Warp Speed, a new multi billion funding announced yesterday by Trump, towards vaccine and drug developments for against covi19, is Moncef Slaoui. Well guess what Moncef Slaoui worked for 30 yeras at ...GSK.

lololo I am going crazy maybe I should go to bed. So right....Sorrento also uses antibody...FINALLY.
The thing is I have done a bit of research and beside the difference between affimers or antibodies, (which could be important) but is also for general knowledge, what is more important is the chances one company has to bring the new drug (if approved) to the market.

Not for test kit but the news that apparently their reagent blocks covi 19 spike could be transformation.
The thing is apparently there are already two or maybe more pharma comp that claim to have fond a solution to block the covi19 spike, namely Vir Biotechnology and lately Sorrento Therapeutics.
Now my question is, these 2 companies mentioned have fond their pathway to block and neutralise covi19 spike protein with antibodies, where Avacta claim that after further studies they blocked the covi spike protein with their reagent....Can someone explain please in simple words what is the difference, (antibodies/reagent)? Right Quickdraw18 I am not familiar with viral load parameters, I was under the impression that the main problem with antigen tests was the fact that initially some chines tests confused influenza virus with corona virus. Beside that, have not read any major issue with viral load sensitivity of antigen tests. maybe I am confusing with antibody tests, where some are no so accurate to detect the presence of antibodies, if contagion as occurred too recently. Anyway not sure how much the speed of testing will be a game change, possibly more will be doing without reagent. I don't want to be negative with ncyt but when i read about new product development i though that in stead of coming up with a cheaper to produce test kit they could have try to diversify by starting to produce an antibody test as well, and use their sale channels to maker those as well.

interesting to see that co-diagnostic is developing a simultaneous test antigen and antibody, lets hope this operation is not done exclusively to create some news flow momentum......... sales for the company are clearly rubbish and even if they claim to be in profit the question is , how much profit. But even if 16 million$ sale where in fact all profit it still would be small compare to the company market cap. Going forward I would expect the share price to keep diffing down, unless they manage to pomp up the news flow expectation with this new test-kit development, but even then I suppose wise investors will have learned their lesson.

Quickdraw18 i am not sure mate. CO-Diagnostic faulty test...unless is a very very recent new, i did not know that, beside there where some Chinese faulty test that I think only Boris managed to buy, but by now all antigen test must be accurate. Are you sure you are not confusing with antibody tests?

....going back to which kind of test will be needed, in short ..it is really down to where our politicians will decide to splash the cash. It true that a second wave will favour the antigen test, but is also true that exactly for this reason ncyt has to "hope" for a second wave of contagious, where if politicians would follow the interest of the people they should start to do millions of antibody test and use these data in conjunction with new cases (antigen tests) to asses how contagious is this virus, compared to how many asymptomatic are among the population. This is the only way we can decide if by reopening the economy we run the risk of a second massive wave. Sure there are some variables like the weather, or the fact that antibody test can only be 99.99 accurate, but they can all be taken in to account in modelling calculations.

So apparently they are planning to inoculate volunteers with corona virus strains such as OC43 and 229E, for the purpose of a human challenge study model. Beside that apparently there have been hundred of this kind of study done in the past, but for conspiracy theory sake it is also worrying that this Open Orphan is backed by some Chinese pharmaceutical companies.
BOO probably I worry too much but sound scary.

True its beyond believe how our politicians want to reopen the economies but disregard testing as a waste of time.
it has been proved again and again that testing is the only way out of this , if not at least to control covi.
I was reading that it doesn't exist and can not be produce a test kit that is 100% right and there always be a very small margin of error, but this shouldn't be an excuse for not testing. unfortunately it looks like this virus may stay with us for a long time, the problem is that since covi has become a good reason of interest to make money for some, there is a every good reason for it to stay around.

I was invested in CO-Diagnostic and sold recently before the sp kept going up for few days....my reason to sell was fear that at q1 results sale would have disappoint.
I was right and can see CO-diagnostic share price keeping going down and down.
I suppose the same sentiments are circulating among ncyt holders of possible investors and although sale at ncyt are much better including production capacity, it has to be see if these production are becoming sales. Now I know there are going to be many people that are convinced it will happen, but let be hones this is not exactly the same momentum driven share that made a sp of some 20p become 500pm, i suppose some are taking profit and some are trading but till a floor if found, i am not going to consider to invest. In the other hand take a look at Biosynex french company e by the way possible competitor of ncyt. bye

Company news are in french that needs lots of copy and past into google translator. I have invested and wonder if anyone with some sound knowledge would take a view on the company potential...

UK Government never been the biggest splash out in Europe on HNS.
If NCYT as a chance to capitalise on c19 it as to be the fact that they sell to many other countries in the world.
The future trend for Pharmaceutical companies rely on the fact that this covi event has prompted many countries to re-balance their budget towards healthcare. Will be interesting to ear what are the Tory plans on this matter, with real money commitments...
Italy just got some 30 billions from Europe to spend exclusively on nhs matters, i suppose you can buy lots of test-kit with that cash.
