As Libero correctly said BMN is not a simple investment case and please allow me to say, the Management are not helping to make it simpler with their press release. I don't mind you calling me lazy....because I know where you come from and I now exactly why you make certain statements. I have been investing for some 30 years often in mining stocks and in the last year, due to lockdown I have been spending 6/8 hours every day reading anything I can about companies reports, broker notes, investment boards and listening to Bloomberg television. Trust me I don't believe in luck and don't play the lottery. If I came across a broker note on BMN do you think I would have asked question on this board????

I want to apologise if I have came across in the wrong way, again... I did my research on this board before asking information, but after opening many posts with titles that suggested I would find what was looking for, I realised that was not so easy.

It turns out that according to numbers, if and when will happen, BMN will make a profit by end 2022 with buoyant vanadium prices.

Indeed unvrkw massive amount of cash floating around, but most of it ending up in indexes and share price, not so much in direct project funding. I suppose the way out for a junior mining company is to issue shares to finance developments if its share price is not in the penny range of course.

in my experience is all very well taking about the potential of a mine deposit often accompanied with the urgent need for this and that metal....but if the cost of the project is huge is not so easy to find finances, unless are sovereign funds like Chinese or state backed from US etc.. Private financial companies like us private investors, have the option to invest directly in already producing miners, cutting out the risk of development issues, especially if the financial commitment is huge.

...scrap "another order for Australian Mines to be filled tonight" have done a bit more research and although the sp and market cap look interesting...there is a reason for it. They have interesting cobalt/nickel project but turn out it need almost $1billion to develop. Doubt they will find finance any time soon...

Since selling Fxpo I have diversified still in iron ore but also bought Orocobre (lithium ) and sold for 20% profit. My heavy weigh are doing ok (RIO BHP) awaiting quarter results next week for a trade play. Have also moved in to PMG miners bought SLP and THS and placed an order to be filled tonight for Zimplat in AU. Finally have another order for Australian Mines to be filled tonight.
Iron ore price is up and up...lots of positive news out there. My re-entry in Fxpo has concluded with a 5% gain, out for now. Will treat it has a trading shares until Russia will respond to Biden invitation for talks and possibly until a date is set.

..Is definitely anyone guess but my gut feeling tells me that is unlikely a Russian attack will take place, it would be too dangerous and not worthwhile. Possibly as long as Putin can keep Crimea with its Russian navy base, will do. Even more now that US with Biden are officially involved. The best way out for Putin will be some negotiation trying to get some more concession out of Ukraine. Even if that doesn't work out, Putin has had his show of strength and that will please his hard line at home, then the Russian separatist rebel can keep fighting as it has been for years since 2014. As I posted much earlier it would be really fundamental to understand the reason why all this has started (Russian troops at the border). I am willing to think that the Russian have been somehow provoked by the Ukraine presidency, either to move forward Ukraine Nato membership or some other political home gains. Don't get me wrong I am aware that there are real and dangerous problems in the disputed regions of Ukraine but it has gone on for years, why now this escalation?============================

It means that if NATO doesn't start Russia won't either. Anyhow back on Fxpo sp I was expecting a much bigger retracement but on the technical it looks that 355 was the bottom and is now making higher lows, add to that Biden involvement hence a small buy from me.

Bought today small amount. Biden phone call, iron ore price and sp action gave me hope for a slow recovery in price...

Biden yesterday called Putin on the phone......may be time to buy back fxpo.

In the end I bought both THS and SYP.

indeed one info I am missing is the life of mine reserve/resources between the two companies. I can see THS has some interest in KARO Holding which seems a promising project, not sure their current reserve/resources what is and its potential.
On SLP potential I found this:
The Northern Limb Projects include four “hot spot” platinum group metal (PGM) exploration targets in close proximity to each other at the extreme north of the northern limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex.
Meaning that with some exploration/investments both companies are not going to run out of assets to mine any time soon.

TigerByTheTail mentioned to me the above companies for investment. No doubt the cash generation and commodities price are a compelling case for investment. I am trying to understand why THS and SYP have a different valuation in deciding which is best to invest. Mind you looking at the sp graph in the last year it seems they are following each other +-....
After looking at some numbers from the balance sheet of both companies and considering their market cap, its clear that SYP has higher valuation due to no debt and better receivable, deferred tax etc....very roughly and with old information I made some $100 millions better off. Anyhow these are my metrics and possibly when it comes to valuation other factors should be taken in consideration.
One thing that impressed me most though is the profitability of the two companies. Full year to June SYP was at some 35% net profit, whereas THS net P at Dec 2020 was some 13.5%.
Yet as I said their sp trend is following each other, hence the market seems to have decided that this is the right valuation. I am wondering when numbers will come out with much higher PGM Prices/oz, if the profitability will make a difference in valuation....

On another matter does anyone know a brokers that charge reasonable fixed commission for Uk and foreign shares, but that most of all is part of the FSCS (Financial Service Compensation Scheme)? My broker Interactive Investors is FSCS warranted, meaning that if it goes down at lest some 80/85000 £ of my fund are secured by the Government. the new ISA allowance has started and I am looking for a new broker from witch to build my investments that is FSCS secured?! Tygarreg that is a good question.
It doesn't necessarily mean that if Russia take over Poltava and Fxpo export port, that Fxpo would end up in some Russian Oligarch or the Russian state. There are many Russian territory companies traded in Uk exchange. Highland Gold Mining was one...I think now is gone private and funny enough it was valued much higher than many other peers.... The problem lies on the many uncertainties and the negative news flow that occur if Russia was to make a military action like invade Ukraine. In this case I could see the price of Fxpo to halve if things turn for the worst...and even if and when Fxpo would maintain its autonomy and integrity as a private company as before, I suspect the sp will take its time to recover to previous levels....The best case scenario would be a meeting between leaders USA and Russia included to deescalate the situation. This could only happen if there is a will and the motivation from the protagonist. For start one should be Ukraine it self which in my book doesn't appear to have any intention to take the conciliatory stance toward Russian...this is not a good thing.
