I am sorry...I might be wrong but can't see iron ore down for the foreseeable future.
Look recent treat of steel production cut from China what has done to the price.....a mere dip for then a quick rebound. imo iron ore is one of the commodities with the most unbalance supply demand around right now, even more than copper. Only treat tot he price comes from scrap iron, but there are many reason why scrap is not worthwhile for use. By the way the Suez canal story if dragging longer it seems may affect oil prices on the upside. For the same token possibly also other commodities price would be affected like iron ore?!

For sure if the issue is left in the hands of the Egyptians it could take years. Worst of all it would be 1 week longer around Africa. I suspect the water flow of the canal is pushing the ship against the side stuck on the shore.....
Iron ore price is up slightly near all time higher, the main market is ok and my other iron ore share closed + 7% after dropping due to recent price pressure. Fxpo should do well today.

no legache you wont get divi, but it would be a great entry point for mid term investment. imo

IMO -9% is overreaction from holders that have no idea why the ex-divi drop......

If correct today is last chance to get 7.5% dividends, iron ore has regain most of recent drop and the main market is calm. I would expect today to finish in the green.

last year steel production from China alone was little more than 1 billion tones. Recent proposed production cut is some 22 million tones.

Biden contemplating some $3billions spending in infrastructure and renewables. Indian opening up rail privatization to improve and build new rail network. Human king gone trough stone age, bronze age, iron age and copper (last one not really a defined age though) Iron still the most needed metal all around. There must be a good reason for that.

Sorry to intrude I was also invested in FAR while ago and can ensure I am not posting because wanting in on the cheap.
Reason I am posting is to give my unbiased opinion, with the hope that one day someone will do the same when I need it.

I have posted few days ago that this sp was getting too hot, that was just a technical opinion....Now for the fundamental point of view:
If you think that vanadium will become the new gold I beg you to reconsider.....There are out there dozen technologies out there for battery storage each one with its pro and cons and each one using different kind of metals.....vanadium is one of them. Moreover it seems to me that if anything..... lithium at the moment is the winner and is here to stay. This to say that if vanadium consumption for green energy will become a strong driver for mining operation (and I say IF) it will be years way. Then we are left with vanadium use in the steel industry has driver for consumption. Here vanadium as a competitor in nickel and its use is also obviously affected by steel production increasing or decreasing. I am not going to give any opinion on the current sp....just give you some facts to the best of my knowledge.

Dividend reward this time is quite a lot and overall momentum on the sector and in particular on Fxpo is too good to miss. Possibly trading range on divi will be too difficult or narrow to identify. Also last time round special divi were much less and Fxpo sp was coming from a long up trend almost doubling in price, hence the retrace. This time we have just consolidate on the 325/360 ish range and current iron ore price would imply another long leg upward from here. I am going to wait for dividend.

Just to recap on the divi. is it correct to get the dividend one as to buy before 25th March and sell not before 26th March?

Have to say though is also thanks to Fxpo employee that we can get these massive dividends. They should give some share incentive rewards to employee starting from the bottom to the top in sign of appreciation. Maybe Mr. Zhevago is already seen to it that will happen.
Vaccines roll out is paramount for reopening economies. Even better would have been if we managed to contain the virus in the first place but imo would have been an utopia. It will take time....but they have produced several vaccines and vaccinated several people in just one year, it can only go exponential. On Iron ore we can't go wrong, this is becoming the new gold. Even compared to copper, iron ore is much more valuable right now and this has not started recently. Looking at price graph of the two metals iron ore price compared to copper started to rise since mid 2018, meaning that is not only a recent trend or price increased due to sudden Chinese consumption. This is definitely an unbalance market fundamental that imo can only get worst before it get better.

reading the commentary on Fxpo it come a cross someone that missed out in buying Fxpo shares. It start in saying "One Company I would buy is FXPO for its dividends, with such enthusiasm that I almost rushed to my broker web page even if today is Saturday. Then it goes on saying .....be careful iron ore is notoriously volatile, dividend may not be the same this year and surely will be less in 2022. By the time the article was finish the recommendation become a sell. Fine balancing act have to say.
