RE: Quiet long term holders18 Oct 2024 07:56
Fortunately I write my posts in notes so to copy and paste again.
This BB has descended into a bigger joke than the UFO BoD in my opinion.
However, just to add my 10pence….
What does DYOR actually mean in the case of UFO?
We use it in posts to cover our rear ends and to look like we actually know what we’re talking about when in reality very little information is actually available about UFO in the public domain other than what UFO themselves have released.
So, we have the UFO website, sure, RNS’s, ok, and one’s own knowledge of mining which can be gleaned from various sources.
Other than that I would imagine that a lot of amateur investors (and I include myself in that category) scan the internet for whatever other information they can find about related companies, market sentiment, surrounding tenements, their owners and yield, predicted timelines for each milestone etc.
At some point it is quite likely that one stumbles across this BB.
Then put all of the gleaned information, UFO’s in ground assets value & the timelines from RNS’s with the constant positive sentiment from Max - all (most? I don’t bother looking anymore) of which is factual and can be checked out & bingo. One can be forgiven for thinking that you have uncovered a classic contrary stock so you’d best pile in.
I would suggest that Max has influenced more people than would like to admit it. Was their decision to pile in based solely on his posts? Unlikely. Have his posts helped some cement what the RNS’s and the in-ground assets suggest should be a hugely profitable enterprise. Well I imagine that this is much more likely.
I’ve been invested here sometime now and have watched the ever changing management team enact the BoD’s desires and what has happened? Nothing, well nothing except false promises, cash burn, dilution/raise, repeat.
So why would you knock your own investment? Well for me, as a bystander watching my investment being slowly eroded through lack of action, lies and misdirection it’s difficult not to - where else can you vent? Ooh maybe send a strongly worded email to investor relations. Do you really think they give a flying F about us PI’s? Their platitudes in rare interviews say they do, of course they do, that’s supposed to be their prime directive. Unfortunately their performance, delays and repeated dilutions suggests otherwise.
Here we are again and I’m still holding. Yep, I’m a tw@.
