The SP continues to slide towards an asset only sale due the silent BOD. I wonder if this is a deliberate move??

And yet I continue to hold - hopeful in the face of the facts which suggest us LTH’s are due to be shafted for the last time.

Dillema time -

MTL were very quick to respond to an email I sent them asking 4 questions but I have been away with spotty internet connection. Copied and pasted as follows:

I have four questions I would very much appreciate if you are able to provide some clarity to:

1) are or will the board consider a move to the main market now that it has outgrown AIM?

This is not something we are considering at the moment.

2) are there plans for a share consolidation with or without a change in Exchange listing?

This is not something we are considering at the moment.

3) what are the plans for increased PR to gain market exposure and a move towards true value & will this happen before or after Abra announcements?

Given the recent developments and achievements this is certainly something that we are now looking to increase.

4) what does the BOD estimate as the current Market Cap irrespective of the markets perceived value?

Our share price / market capitalisation is something that the market decides. If we / the Board deliver our planned strategy then we would certainly hope that the market appreciates this and values the Company accordingly.

Didn’t really give anything away IMO but perhaps I was a little naive in thinking it may.

The PR increase should help drive the SP given recent performance but still rests with ABRA results and any other acquisitions.

MM’s killing this today with a ridiculous spread. That’s either a really good sign of a tiny leak or a really bad sign of what the market thinks of the BOD’s.

I have asked MTLs investor relations dept 4 questions I feel are relevant. I don’t expect to get back any insider information obviously but will feed back any reply to this board.

I am confident in getting a reply though given my trust in the BOD and how well MTL is run. I just hope they don’t prove me wrong 😜

They also said shovel ready early 2023 so I’m not holding my breath that they can keep to a self imposed deadline.

Indeed JB. The slightest bias of sells vs buys and they take it down. All in the hope of initiating a tree shake IMO.

Would like to think that when ABRA is proven that the PR machine will roll into action.

I’d also like it if MTL then considered if an AIM listing was still appropriate for a credible company who don’t require funding. Perhaps a move to the main market and a share consolidation would get serious investors taking notice and a consequential move to true market value. This might also stop the MM’s (market manipulators) taking the p155.

Well history would suggest that this is another month of wild speculation that this is going to the moon, a month of the market manipulators doing their thing, followed by another missed self imposed deadline, followed by another placing.

For mine and everyone else’s sanity let’s hope not hey.

Fair to a point. Some will be needed and some will also be needed to close the existing mine. There will still be a considerable amount left IMO.

In the gold rich Philippines and with the reputation MTL with the government I can’t see that as a problem. If Abra comes good the set up costs are negligible.

And don’t forget, it’s not just about finding gold and digging it up, the real economies are gained in the recovery of said gold. A process in which MTL have become masters.

Well of late this board seems to be positive in the face of the facts IMO. I sincerely hope you are right though TAD.

I had always seen this as a contrary stock but have lost faith at the moment as UFO continues to spoil my portfolio.

Just to state the obvious:

The SP will continue to bounce until a flurry of RNS’s state viable progress towards revenue generation.

Unfortunately, there is so little trust in the BOD given their inability to stick to timelines. Funny how a spurious email got everyone excited and it was no doubt small time PI’s who saw a get rich quick scheme.

I don’t think that there have been any unforeseen obstacles (post Covid) and as such delays shouldn’t really occur as they should be planned for - it should therefore be possible to build in a little fat and set realistic milestones. UFO have failed in this regard with placings being the only thing they can be relied upon.

I shall leave my ‘investment’ here in the hope that the 600k lasts long enough for them to actually do something. As the days tick by though it looks like another failure looming and another step closer to the next placing.

Quite possibly Duster, think DB has the desire to drive this as high as possible. Once RHL’s shackles are removed it will exciting to see exactly what he and the rest of the Board has planned.

I’m with Lee on this.

Darren Bowden recently stated that he sees MTL as 10 times the MCAP it is now but this can only be achieved through acquisition.

MTL continues to be under the radar as the PR has been muted. My opinion is that the boardroom has been a difficult place with RHL in place and Darren Bowden has chosen to maintain a sensible silence to ensure that their blood money is minimised.

Once they are out of the picture and ABRA shows itself as a viable and profitable venture this should start to gain growth momentum.

At present (my opinion) a few ‘issues’ hold this back;

Massive historic debt which has now been repaid and once RHL are out of the picture, truly put to bed.

The life of the current mine, which acquisitions will curtail

The fact that a dividend has been ruled out (at present)

I would like to think, like Lee, that in the next few months the PR trumpets will start to sound and perhaps even the announcements of dividends in the new year.

This is a good place to be IMO, MTL are a solid and professionally run outfit who are massively undervalued.

As a LTH (and I’d put money that I’ve held for longer than you) good news has always been ‘just around the corner’

Well to me nothing here has changed. History has given us a series of RNS’s that have shown themselves to be unrealistic or at times just lies. The only RNS’s that have actually born fruit are the raises!

Same BOD, same assets in the ground with no official detail as to when they could be realised. Charles A paid to promote (maybe Max has now been sacked?) A recent email (which may or may not be true) bullet points what we already know and all of a sudden UFO is the next 30 bagger!! WTF

We now have lots more excited new investors and a flurry of buys and sells, how very convenient that is.

I have little faith that this BOD will deliver anything close to what I expected when I bought in (based on RNS’s) all those years ago. De-ramping? Am I F, I’ve invested heavily here and like a lot of people are sat on an average somewhat larger than the p155 poor SP we see today. A SP that is the result of the performance of the BOD and not an overhang from the last raise.

If, and this is a big if, UFO actually manage to pull any sort of deal together that adds value then I shall be both amazed and grateful. I say this based on past performance which is factual. Gone is my rather fanciful notion that xyz is imminent and how lucky I am to have discovered this nugget of a stock.

Not sure myself (and I’m not a legal bod) as it’s not standard practice to draw a SA or seek shareholder approval for a JV. However, it is more the norm to draw up a SA and therefore gain shareholder approval when forming a new company as part of the JV even if the new company is still a separate entity from the JV partner with no connected parties.

I guess if some of the assets are to change hands then this too would require approval. Maybe this is what the intention is but as I say, I’m no expert and this is pure speculation on my part.
