Looked at this sometime ago but passed on it. Did a relook about a week ago (maybe I payed more attention this time) now this seems like a screaming buy - divi , copper, price all seem good to go and take a punt for the longer term.....

Pav I don't understand why everyone is on your back. Your post seems normal. I wasn't happy about the barc downgrade but thanks for highlighting it. That's a crazy swing. I may pick up more if it drops but will hold what I have for now.

Did they announce a dividend in q4? I thought they said something about that and a buyback but i cant see any details?

On the plus side the buy back will be more effective :)

Well i have to admit sellinig about half my holdings in the last few days - moved it into euro defence stocks for safety (made a little on QQ and lost a little on BAE, Thales and Leonardo). But they have been less of a loss than IAG. So what now. I cant figure it out. Lufthansa has been a star but I missed taking a position when i spotted it at 5.5 grrr. Air Canada sits at a PE of just over 3! But loads of debt and in a trade war with probably its main destination? So IAG - seems they talk about the USA as being a main profit center - well that could be bad (less people wanting to go to the usa) or it could be good (more people travelling from USA to europe for holidays and business, people choosing BA over the likes of american airline cos).

I just don't F'ing know. Can't see trump getting better and the USA heading towards a recession. May just dip in when the share price is lower for now, or buy in on Ukrainian 'peace' deal - but I am sure my timing will be wrong.

Sorry this has been a bit of a stream of consciousness. Would appreciate others thoughts - but I am sure none of us know what will happen for a bit.

Jun_man maybe I have it wrong, but mu calc was from market cap of 16/17B divided by 4.4B profit . But clearly i don't know which type of profit that is so need to dig more. I cant think we are still on 7.6 PE but your cals seem much more straight forward and correct. Guess its always good to DYOR! Apologies.

First picked this share up when PE was less than 4 and its doubled to a low but cautious PE 8. Now its back at < 4 again! That's pretty positive :)

I don't understand that RNS one bit??? Are they offering more shares or is it just some sort of loan they are trying to fund? Probably why they are squirreling away so much profit at the moment - to lower any interest payment?

American airlines is a mess of an airline company. That's the message. well besides the fact that IAG PE will probably be at about 5.5 after results - which is still pretty good value :) .

So as I am bored I have been trying to understand how common stock manipulation is - if it even happens. This actually may be well known but seems it is particularly applicable to EZJ on results day.All of you will know we have consistently beaten expectations for a number of quarters only to see the share price drop on results day - substantially. So it just seems obvious to me that prior to results day people will move their stop losses tight - those in the know understand this and start to shift sales on result morning knowing they will pick them up later in the morning at a much bigger discount.

I hate this , but in the end i see it as a sign of market confidence really - people are loading up on shares and doing what they can to get them cheaper. In my mind there is no other realistic explanation. (I suppose they cover their initial sales loss with a short of some type).

As I say this may be obvious to many but I didn't used to believe manipulation was so common. EZJ seems to be a stock that can move quite a bit on lower volumes so would seem ideal. Anyway, I look at this as a positive. Question is what will IAG results do - they seem harder to move due to their market cap - and do not seem to suffer from results day conundrum - but I haven't watched the relationship their as much and if it has an affect on EZJ.

I was eyeing up a jetski but maybe that has to wait...

Are both IAG and EZJ undervalued. I really think they are. thats one reason to stick. the other reason is where else to invest? I keep looking for a better placed share but given the low valuation, increasing dividends I once again stick with IAG EZJ.

Shares go up and down, but i think these have more upside potential - and potentially substantial upside potential. So I'm hanging around for now....

Adamloyd really - you've done well there! 499.63 to 502 - thats 2.37P per share. to make 3500.00 you bought about 148,000 shares - cost about £750K. Which is nice gamble but you would have to pay 3700 in stamp duty - so you are 200 down. Unless you buying some other way?

Its never straight up. Full year results in less than a month, maybe some divi / buyback action. PE should be down to about 5 or 6 - which leaves plenty of scope for another jump. Trump desperate to lower oil price. Think there are a few miles left in this..

Clearly I am having a tantrum. I want my money! I want my money! I want it now! lol. Think I get like this at tax time.

The more i think of it and reading the replies - i think EZJ missed a trick here and are responsible for the stagnating share price. If they are concerned about having cash for the next incident - thats not a great look and doesn't inspire confidence. But if they are - do a share buyback - that is confident. Plus if something does happen then you can reissue shares again. but its not a good look having your entire market cap in assets in case of disaster.

IAG has a market cap 5 times of ezj and has the same net assets - and they are doing a share buyback. To me, I want a company to share their profits based on how the business has been running - I don't want to wait 5 years to start getting payback - by then there may well be some incident. Look at me I've turned all greedy. but people held these shares through pandemic losses so now should get post pandemic rewards - without waiting.

Oh well maybe q2 results.
