Obviously i have nothing to back this up but listened to a podcasdt about another miner (cant remember which one as was driving) . Anyway they were very very successful and one of their ways they did it was to have very conservative MREs PEAs - which eased permitting in more dodgy countries - and then when they get mining all of a sudden they find more and the mine and reserves grow. That approach would seem to make a lot of sense (and I am not saying it happened here), but it must be easier to get a permit for 200K ounces rather than 1M ounces (which would draw a lot of attention). Just a thought.

Well I think the share price drop was to be expected. But I am buying at these levels - just adding bit by bit. OMI was a big holding of mine but sold up on the result of the MRE as it was OK but underwhelming. Having heard the chairman talk about partner discussions for Argentina - starting to think there will be enough good news to drive this forward this year - but he also talked about raising more money - which wasn't great to hear - but inevitable I guess. There should be good news on both Apta and Argnetina this year then producing gold next year. :)

Well I think 200KOZ was the low end of expectations, but then again the gold price is up since I made my expectations. They just need to start scraping this gold up quickly - then the other will materialise from further drilling and other sites in the area. Should be a good source of income for years. Obviously disappointed but still good value if they get moving

So i tried to gather as much drill data as i can find and push it into chatgpt for an mre. I did 2 sets of incomplete data with the first set coming up with 360K OZ, second incomplete set came up with 260K Oz. I did notice the width chatgpt used was very thin so i submnitted a more complete set of data (very simplistic from what is on their website) and it came up with this:

With infill drilling and wireframing, 1 Moz is plausible

This is well above “sniff test” scale for a development asset

So I certainly wouldn't trust any of these figures but I am certainly hoping for the latter. If someone wants more of the figures from chatgpt supporting how this was derived let me know and I will tray and post what I can. AS I SAY DO NOT TRUST THIS AS IT IS VERY ROUGH (AI after all)

Always interesting to see other tips, that's how i was made aware of OMI. had a look at MTL and seems to be similar to OMI but more advanced and producing gold(which is always good) although on a depleting asset (with new asset theoretically coming online). 4x the price of OMI though. May pick some up as I like gold being produced (67KOz per year) and the hope of 127K oz per year in early 27. But impetuously added some SLP today on the theory of Platinum bounce - as gold is going a bit sideways at the moment. Wishing the new year brings us 6K gold, $200 silver and lots more - including peace and prosperity.

I have this and GGP and its so strange. They almost seem to go in opposite directions. HOC up GGP down, GGP up HOC down. On alternate days. Maybe its my imagination...... Maybe its difference in gold and silver price... Is it just me.

So I cant buy £2000 of shares at 290 but I can buy 2 lots of £1000 at 290. Been like this all the time - cant buy a big batch of shares it seems. No wonder the price is restricted.

I am totally confused on this PEEL situation. Seems they owned about 16% of the company and then sold it down - saw what I assume is a TR1 in this discussion showing their holding down to about 12%. Even so they would have to sell about 44M (rough figure from 10% of 440M shares)more shares to clear their holdings - and I haven't seen anywhere near that volume go through.

So

1. Why would they even think about selling when they should know how much the shares are worth?

2. are they planning to sell all?

I am confused by this all.......Beyond my capability.....

Well i just dont get it but bought some more at 3.68 from H&L. But I must not be seeing something - i get a feeling I will be left holding the bag.... :(

I don't get it.... I'm quoted 3.6 to sell.....makes no sense....seems like a no brain buy opportunity - so what's the catch?

APTA 1M oz + ! not sure where that figure comes from but amazing if true.......

So as usual my prediction of a fall on results was only incorrect because I acted on it and sold a bit yesterday. As usual, the share price did the opposite - you can all thank me now :). Still my sacrifice for the many was worthwhile.

So everytime results are announced seeems for both wizz and ezj - shares drop hard then bounce big shortly after. This time I have sold some holding before to buy the dip (which I hope won't happen). I always hope it doesnt drop but always does - so this time I am going to play the game. I suspect thats why the shorts are up. Think the MMs push price down so that tighter stops people put in for results then trigger. Then they sell their shorts and buy the dip. Repeat every results. Hope I am wrong as still holding a sizeable amount. :) GLA

What's occurring...

I think ezj and wizz are bother underpriced due to fear of a couple of things - quite major things - recession and war. In reality they are performing well (and I think we are in a recession even if we don't say it). So do you buy low or wait and buy high? Sector is out of favour so I suspect we are on the relatively low cycle. Moving forward, Trump will assure a couple of things - the appearance of peace in the Ukraine and following that low oil prices. Both of those - whether illusionary or real will drive airlines positive. Plus he will print money and so will other countries to ensure the stock market stays up. So I am holding onto that theory....All dogs have their day!

So....... this is just something i heard. Sometimes shorting is used in a case where people are positive on a sector but want to protect a potentially over exposed position. they will buy the various stocks in the sector (so they buy 3) and then they short one share they consider the most volatile. Sector goes up they lose the short but gain on the 3 stocks they bought. if sector drops - their over exposure is protected by the short in the volatile share. It is clever don't know if its true but I am a glass half full guy! Sso i think it is a positive sign :)

I suppose people are selling as they think israel/palestine peace is derisking things. We all know the price of gold and silver is being driven by debt and bonds at this point in time. Lots of people don't want to accept the pending default disaster - but i think it is coming - so will be holding my gold assets very tightly. That said didn't think i would see $51 silver today!

That news about Barclays 5% is very interesting. They are not stupid and they do have ties to the middle east - which makes me make this prediction - a mid east interest will launch a bid for Wizz. I have no firm facts on that so it is speculation from a punter - but merely connecting the dots as I see them. You have barclays, the failed Wizz base in the mid-east, low valuation, established routes, and cheap oil in the mid east. I am of course wrong almost all the time :)
