For this share to really move EZJ needs to start giving some of their cash back to the shareholders or through a buy back. They have about 3B in assets over liabilities and about the same in cash and short term investments. With another .7B expected this year. Its no good just sitting in their pocket - give me some! Understadn they probably need to hold now until end of q2 - but i want some then!

Unless they are holding onto this for a potential buyout? But who would buy and airline buyouts seemed to be frustrated by government red tape. But you could literally buy the entire company and get all your money back instantly at this shareprice....

Anyway, patience....So far all the news is good. O'leary may mess that up but IAG will steady the boat. Maybe that's why we aren't moving up we are waiting for the mess which is RYA to report?

So when you look at the news feeds almost all of them highlight 'lower q2 revenue expectations'! That's because easter falls outside the reporting period - it is explained. It seems not much analysis goes into these articles these days. Well I guess that's opportunity for those that know better. Just got to be patient. oops tax time.....going to hold ezj though...

Savage, I think you are wrong, its not that complicated - you can look at the market cap 3.7B (dont look at number of shares) then look how much assets they have 3B - that basically covers the the entire value of the company - and it does if you take 2025 PBT. The company is valued at nothing more than its assests - that is nuts.

Is there manipulation - of course there is. How much? Who knows. But EZJ has a large number of insitutional shareholders so the free float of traded shares is quite low - which means fewer shares can drive the market price quite quickly. Do I care? No, because it a great business on 5x 2025 P/E eventually this will raise and catch people out.

Divi declared but they can declare special dividend. They need to do something with the money..

So my figures on this come mainly from google so will not be accurate - but roughly ok. I see EZJ market cap 3.7B, it has net assets of 3.0B, cash and short term investments of 3.6B and 2025 PBT expected of .7B. Turnover is 10B ish. Buy the company you get it for free! lol

Sold some other stuff early on to buy a bit more. Expect a recovery over the next few days, but we all must be on our toes for O'Leary and Ryanair - he always wants to spoil any potential party. Then IAG results should propel the sector upwards. I thought if they didnt announce a buyback shares would drop - but then before open I thought they would rise due to government plans on airports , USA market etc. But unfortunately EZJ still follow the pattern of dropping on good results.

BUT! IAG was a pain for a long time too. So I expect the fundamentals on this will shine through in the end this year! I'm in.

On. Track for 709m pbt for 2025. That's a huge number. Drives our forward p/e way down. Excellent statement.

Oh Jeffery you are falling for the double triple bluff, in the end (which may take some time) earnings will win out. It may a long long long time.. But EZJ has almost its entire market capital in cash. I think they are being pushed to act.

Well no official competition this time but would be interesting to hear views. I think it may be around the 60M mark loss as it will be an improvement and interest on cash will help (so i am going slightly under Xhita because I am hopeful). As for buying more I am quite loaded up so will not act before I see market reaction - if it drops I have a bit more i can drop in, if it rises happy with my holdings to ride. But the more i think about it the more I think the price will correlate to a buyback announcement. But not sure if companies announce buybacks in Q1 results? I thought they might do it at full year results - but now i am hoping the outgoing CEO left that to the incoming CEO to announce as a little way to settle in on a positive note.

So EZJ has Market cap of 4B and net assets of 2B, IAG has market cap of about 16B and net assets of 3B. IAG are buying back shares. EZJ could easily buyback 1B (1/4 market cap!) and still look pretty secure. I think the market is punishing the shares for their lack of strategy. Hopefully the new CEO will correct that. (btw figures are rounded from Google so not sure how accurate they are - need to DYOR as they say.

Market Cap is 3.8B and they have 3.4B in cash and short term investments. they have a lot of cash - I am sure the market is pushing them to initiate a share buy back or use that money in a more aggressive manner. On the other hand interest rates are still high and maybe the interest will have a nice positive impact on results. But OI think a share buyback is required to get this share moving.

Well the 5 year chart on EZJ is certainly depressing. but I don't think the business is! So just going to hold for the great awakening! If the loss is less Q1 then the P/E becomes very appealing. If they start are share buyback that would be icing on the cake.

Anyway I keep looking at my holdings when i need to raise money to buy other stocks - but always come up with the view that the opportunity in EZJ is one of the best - so rarely sell any holdings. one day rodney!

These markets are nuts - talk about volatile! All over 0.1% better inflation. Last few weeks was all doom and gloom and the end of the world. I like it now but hard to keep your nerve. Imagine banks up almost 7% today! Airlines doing well.

Looking at airline stocks

Europe: IAG rising P/E of 7.5 (probably down to about 6? after results), Lufthansa being spanked down big over 6 months / a year this morning sitting at a P/E of 7.5 ish but earnings have been growing (WTH?)

USA: American Airlines rising big over 6 months P/E of about 50! United up over 100% in 6 months still rising strong P/E of 12.5 big jump yesterday 2.5%. Jet Blue up 35% 6 months, 4% yesterday! It runs at a loss according to google.

When is it our turn in the EU? USA has about the same debt and bond issues we have. Maybe they are a bubble or we are under priced - suspect the answer is somewhere in the middle.

As an Aldi shopper (mainly because its closer) I went to M&S over the xmas period - the place was packed! People everywhere. Even through the doom and gloom, how this relates to EZJ..... Well what I thought and what I am tending to do - is people may have less money but they are still willing to spend on the little luxuries. And I think that includes holidays. The USA is frightfully expensive now so what is left is European Travel (which is probably better anyway - and I say that even though I have a place in Florida and have family in Canada - the 51st state ). Went to Pitigliano recently (with rayanair - yuck) . Great place, reasonable prices, fantastic food. I don't think the EZJ is dead yet! Just lots of uncertainty at the moment with the Trump factor etc. If anything that should make inter european travel busier. Interest rates and tax in the UK are also an issue but I believe people will travel - its not like tickets are expensive. but in the end who knows. Sold my TGA shares as coal price is plummeting - the shares are now rising - it all makes no sense. Ramble over , I need to get a life

Lol well its not a huge divi, but provides a little more buffer if shares drop a bit. Takes a little risk off the table. Smart money would probably go to IAG but cant turn my back on EZJ at these levels. fingers crossed.

I may be wrong and I am wrong often (ask my wife). But I'm fully in....
