Agree Levi: they can’t tell us anything before they tell us! Copper, gold, silver, zinc, cobalt. The large holdings are gradually being topped up: this is reassuring to me too. I have no doubt these are discerning investors, who have satisfied themselves about progress, after conversations with the company. I particularly like Gati’s acuity in interviews. I don’t expect any news till mid Jan (my straw poll guess). On a more amusing note, my fellow posters on the solg bb have informed me, I have made it to the top 100 of the pumpedanddumped website list of lse posters. Makes me beam in pride ;-) PS: I hold my shares and do not intend to sell any time soon. I have an investment horizon of a few years.

News in next two weeks would be nice :-)

Okenia: great posts, thank you. I kinda understand what you are saying. I have thought about this for months: what if a fictitious example could be shown, illustrating what a deal looks like for an LPEQ? Even with a number like: say £5m for arguments sake? Short of this, it’s really hard for the average investor to comprehend the different components, stake holders and to get sight of the “value creation”. Just my humble opinion :-)

Itsagame: both CAF assets were sold, as they didn’t fit the new strategy. From what little I hear, because the assets are production/near production, they will be supported mainly via debt. Just my opinion. 34.5% out of free float and rising. And those who participated in the raising are presumably well heeled/patient enough to not need the money till value is achieved (save a few sells which Okenia explained before) Having held for nearly 12 months under water, Ive added recently and certainly don’t intend to sell any time soon. Bythesea: I had tried googling to see who Mark Lancaster was. I found a ML previously involved with SDL, not sure if it’s the same person. The names which hold big stakes in pere have acted in concert, in another company in the past (to replace the board of directors no less). I posted on this before. So we have share holder activists. What’s not to like? Perhaps Okenia could confirm if he/she knows ML?

Okenia: courgette flower tempura sounds nice! I love my food too: your post took me straight to my nans place in my head, pumpkin flowers are eaten tempura style in some parts of India. Yummy

Okenia: couldn’t agree with you more! I’ve had occasional email replies even from CEOs of bigger companies. Given I have two very young children, I avoid travelling and would struggle networking as you do: but it sounds spot on. Weighing up people is best done face to face. People want to connect and are not as cut off/unavailable as some believe.

I must add that I have spoken to DL on a few occasions: he’s always been very approachable and down to earth. I would encourage others to pick up the phone and call the company. There is no substitute to your own judgement anyways.

Bythesea: it doesn’t worry me. Because people with deep pockets who are well connected seldom put cash into a venture in which they expect to lose. It’s a good team, mix of experienced people and younger blood. The latest addition Gati Aljebouri comes across as very sharp. He’s got his own money in it. Let’s wait and see the story unfold. Of course we all need good luck :-)
