RE: Trading9 Jan 2024 12:57
Ok now to allocating out my purchases.
My profit on yesterday's sale of 5,000 shares was £211.74 giving me a total trading profit to date of £3,637.25
To make things easier I've averaged out the 2 x 3,000 share purchases to give me an average purchase cost of £1.72065 per share after all costs.
At that price my trading profit to date would get me 2,113 shares. However I'm only buying 2,075 shares with it for the Blue Core Holding, which together with the existing 550 original shares, gives us a Blue Core total of 2,625 shares which would need to reach £11.77 for us to break even.
The Yellow holding of 3,300 shares (ie the shares we should have bought with the rights issue money) is costing us £5,678.15 this time round. So the actual saving is £921.85 (£6,600 - £5678.15)
That Saving goes to the Orange core along with the £66.90 left over from our banked profit from earlier. The £988.76 (£921.85+£66.90) just happens to get us 575 shares ( near enough its actually 0.36 of a share under).
So Blue is 2,625 Shares
Yellow is 3,300 Shares
Orange is 575 Shares
This is a total of 6,500 shares. So the other 50 unallocated shares out of the 6,000 purchased today I'm adding to the Orange section as well, giving it a new total of 625 shares.
My separate 5,000 share purchase is my Red Trading parcel.
The 6,500 shares (rights issue money plus banked profit to date) have a break even price now of £5.769 instead of the £9.74 it would have been had I just taken up the rights issue & done nothing else. Thanks to the extra 2650 shares I now have.
