Unlike roger65, I don't think you can read too much into any imminent placings from Patel's appointment. But unlike Jenforluck, I'd also never read much into Tim's assurances. Too many here cite Tim's interviews as proof that a deal is imminent & the SP is about to skyrocket. That may prove true, but to hang on Tim's every word is just plain bonkers. He has come out with all sorts of predictions & guidance in the past which turned out to be utter nonsense.

In short, nothing is black & white with IMM & Archer sums this up better than any fervent ramper or deramper on this board.

Golferboy - as I said before, there are no precise dates in today’s RNS.

Approximately two weeks after some indeterminate time in November does not equate to a date.

Tiburn - you might think it’s the best. But as I said before, it’s simply untrue. There’s risk in EVERY investment.

The short term risk here is that further delays creep in or that production & off take was already largely priced in at 29p.

I’m not saying that either will necessarily apply. But both ARE still risks, however small.

Golferboy - we HAVEN'T "got a real date".

Just some time "shortly after the final components arrive on site in November 2025".

That could mean November still. More likely, it means sometime in December, as today's RNS goes on to say "Once the helium compressor unit, which is scheduled for delivery in November 2025, arrives at the site, the final connection process will begin. This is expected to be a two-week process to install and then bring the plant online."

Brentw1 - I suspect 3LB is intelligent enough to realise that making a few slightly less upbeat than normal posts on a BB is unlikely to make one jot of difference to the SP.

It seems to be the default reaction of those who want to hear no evil. Frankly, I find this laughable and would far rather read posters who offer a degree of balance. As opposed to serial rampers / derampers.

Golferboy - agreed. Except that an imminent offtake agreement & production start date is already a given.

There might be a minor - possibly even major - re-rate once they finally become reality after a couple of " false starts" with production timing. But I suspect the news is - to an extent - priced in already.

3lB - ReevesThieves might do another raid in Nov. But I'm not convinced, as it would likely just change people's behaviour, encouraging them to leave any larger lump sums in.

I still think they should go for a wealth tax on assets - including property - of HNW individuals. Yes, a few might leave. But we were told all the bankers & City bods would leave if Brexit happened. It did. Yet sadly we still have to put up with most of them being here....

I suspect a levelling of CGT & income tax rates is more likely. Plus, perhaps, council tax reform. Either by creating more bands at the higher end. Or by revaluing property generally and levying an annual fractional % charge. Would hit asset-rich (but in some cases, relatively cash-poor) Southerners particularly hard though. Depends whether the majority of those vote Labour I guess.

Either way, it ain't gonna be pretty. So hold onto your hats.

Sure, if you're looking to buy in or add, it's a gamble staying out in the hope of a lower price later.

That said, markets are nervous right now following Trump's Chinese tariff threat on Friday. So any SP could end up being cheaper later on, simply due to wider market sentiment. The opposite, of course, is also true assuming Trump always chickens out.

But a delayed purchase might just pay off. And it's what I'm doing.

If I don't get to add cheaper, I won't add at all and that's fine by me as I've a decent holding already.

Brentw1 - despite your claim, NO investment is "zero risk" as I'm sure you know only too well.

3LB - not sure it'll be down to the MMs.

But fact remains, barring an offtake RNS, we're unlikely to have another meaningful update for 3 or 4 weeks.

That will reduce short term buying pressure. Though any offtake news would reignite things.

Investors don't care about the reasons for any delay. They just care when previous guidance is missed.

Yes, in a few months' time, it'll hopefully be an irrelevance. But right now, with a share like Hex which is so news & guidance-dependent, it matters. Why else would the SP have dropped almost 6%? Wider markets aren't doing that.
