Troll - I have had VOD shares for many many years, a lot longer than I have been on this site, and via many many trades, I am sitting on a low average price, and of course on top I have received a fortune in dividends in my investment period.

VOD has been a great stock for me, and I am sure will continue to be.

Absolutely - SSE is the sort of business to have in anyone's portfolio for the reasons you say

A few more, being the number bought in December for over £2 less . I will be keeping a core holding in SSE for the long term, but continue to trade excess shares. I sold some on 17th September 2024 at over £20, which at the moment will be the price level at which I would have sold most or all of the excess shares. I will of course purchase again if it went to lower levels again but I expect most shareholders would like to see a continued rise from here to test the all time highs .

SSE has been a good stock to trade/hold for about the last 8 years that I have been involved with it.

You really need to learn how to be a better trader/investor. Your idea is to not make a sale because it may go higher - stupid thinking. Understand once and for all, I will always have a core holding in Vodafone even if it went back to the 255p level of when i sold on 26th May 2015. The extra shares are for trading which I have successfully traded in recent times - easy enough to understand.

Just a couple of examples of my trading posts.

Maybe it will finally sink in how much better off I am with the trades I have made just in the last year, without going back further years - making very low priced purchases and then making a sale at over 77p and over 75p twice with purchases at much lower levels again in between.

Your posts can only be put down to pure jealousy of trades that you yourself have not made. A bit pathetic really.

I gained on 96% of my shares after selling 4% - end of, and the 4% were sold at a much higher price than they were bought for.

Why have you bought shares at certain levels, when you could have bought them a lot cheaper?

there are some really stupid people about and you appear to be one of them. Why would I want the share price to go down after selling 4% of my holding?/ That would mean a drop in value of the 96% of shares pre sale. Please try your best and THINK before making a post

I have said it over and over. I hope you haven't got age related memory problems. btw, why would I regret a rising price after selling about 4% of shares?. I have loads and loads and loads of shares that I can sell on an upward path.
