RE: EESL ...............18 Mar 2018 11:07
Good morning CB,
As you know, I personally doubt whether CyanConnode had any involvement in the original EESL tender. Or any EESL tender, or for that matter any tender that stipulates GPRS meters. What would be the point?
The GPRS business model, as envisaged by EESL, has still some way to go, in Uttar Pradesh and Hayana. The CyanConnode business model in Mysore and Mumbai, are proven in India.
But within my original post at 13:59, there is a report that states:- " According to the report, some forty companies, including equipment makers and trade bodies, have held discussions with EESL ........ "
https://www.metering.com/news/eesl-tenders-for-5-millions-smart-meters/
Forty companies and two of the three winners, of the Uttar Pradesh and Haryana tender, had " ..... never manufactured any kind of meters in the past ........ " So does that not mean that they will have to sub-contract the meters out.

So as I have said previously, I will be trying to follow the EESL projects, with interest. As I do most smart grid/smart meter /IoT projects, when I can.
But you may be able to answer this question, of who actually won the Systems Integrator tender? I have read somewhere, but I cannot put my finger on it at the minute, that certain companies were interested in providing the solution, to EESL's specification. But nothing specific or set in stone, as to who actually won the System Integrators part of the tender?
Very interested.
LTI.
