An interesting update, with much, maybe, that will be discussed. Interesting and reassuring that " The contracts in Iran and Bangladesh are still active and are at different stages of the SAT process."

And that " Leading meter manufacturers, such as Genus, Larsen&Toubro ( L&T ) and HPL., have integrated CyanConnodes standard's-based Omnimesh technology, with their IS 16444 smart meters, to comply with Bureau of India standards meter protocol and through these we expect to see further growth."

Also the proposed growth in per-paid meter installations, gets a mention.

I do not see it, that necessarily CyanConnode " ...... are parting with L&T .... " ( Electrical and Automation.) L&T ( Electrical and Automation,) may become an Indian subsidiary, of Schneider Electric?

And we will not know that, until the deal is done.

That may very well be the case. But with that in mind, L&T ( Construction ) who were, as I understand it, successful with the EESL tender, may well turn out to be in competition with L&T ( Technology Services.)

We are talking about meters, possibly IoT, as it is a CyanConnode offer, for L&T ( Electrical and Automation.) Whether the other segments of L&T talk to each other, is a question I cannot answer.

Schneider, as I understand it, have been invested in India, for some years. So, I personally see it as Schneider acquiring a Company that will broaden their particular offer/range, rather than using L&T ( Electrical & Automation ) to gain access into the Indian market.

Thank's for the info. It does not confirm, in the " re-booted " tender what/which solution is required. As you have indicated, CyanConnode did engage with Enzen Global, originally, for a tender in Ireland, for the ESB.

But I would think that most of their solution provision would come from PowerLine Communication ( PLC?) But I could be wrong, especially in built-up/city areas.

Yes, I mentioned last week that, at least two of the companies that were involved directly with the EESL tender, ITI and KEONICS, had not recognized/reported, that I could find at the time, that they had been successful.

Genus Power was the only one, that I could find, that was recognizing the achievement.

Keep persevering with the links. They provide valid/important information. Some good. Some not so good.

That is interesting news Chianti. Thank you for the update and it may be another piece in the EESL puzzle. Someone past a comment on Friday, about " No questions are being asked."

Questions have been asked, in influential places, for a few month's now. From a news report from December 2017, questions were being asked by the Indian electrical equipment industry, to the Power Ministry. While there are no reports that I can find, of these questions ever officially being answered fully, maybe they are being part answered in the number of amendments being added to original EESL tenders.

This report from the Business Standard, from December 2017, may also answer the question I posed on Monday, under the heading " Can anyone tell me/us, who is actually manufacturing the meters for EESL."

That would be Genus, JnJ Powercom, KEONICS and Zen Meters. But as I understand it, KEONICS do not manufacture meters. So KEONICS in turn, will have to sub-contract their quota out, to another/other meter manufacturing companies.

Which moves on to the post I posted on Friday, which reported on a meeting that took place during June 2018 and present at the meeting was the Ministry of Power, the Central Electricity Authority, PFC, REC, EESL and various meter manufacturers.

Chianti, I cannot access the web-page you posted, re EESL, but the fact that they have, as you have said " .... deleted the reverse auction ......... " would confirm that some of the actions that have been taken/discussed over the last few month's, from/in various quarters, have maybe been listened too.

By the way the meeting unfolded and the agreement for further consultations, it will not be all down solely to EESL, or any one other Company, from any particular sphere. It seems as though it will be a Group decision.

In particular, EESL are a procurement agency. There is a more technical aspect to delivering a smart grid/smart meter solution, other than just purchasing what other Companies make.

It has to fit and cover all aspects.
