I do not have to ask CyanConnode about the UK contract. There is information readily available for all. But you do not read it, or you do not remember reading it, or you choose not to remember reading it. But it has been mentioned before.

From the Annual Reports and Accounts, 2021:-

" During 2019, the UK Government announced that it had extended the deadline for the rollout of SMETS2 meters by four years, to 2024. In early 2020, the deadline was again extended by a further six months, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Data Communications Company ( DCC ) aims to connect around 53 million smart gas and electricity meters to its secure network and in February 2021, it announced that 10 million smart meters had been connected. The rollout of SMETS2 meters commenced in Q4 2018 and as previously announced, CyanConnode believes that, for ease of rapid deployment, installers are initially targeting installations in densely populated areas that have areliable cellular signal. CyanConnode believes that the installation of its RF technology will gain momentum during the latter stages of the rollout."

I did not think I had heard the 25% - 30% mentioned in connection with module penetration by CyanConnode in India. But thank you for confirming it.

But I have heard the " 7.5% ish " figure mentioned before. This was the second video I viewed yesterday. It didn't mention your " 25% - 30% " but it did mention - " 250 million unit market in India - assuming only 20 million of this in our plans shows significant growth over the next five years."

20m of 250m = 8%.

So the 7.5% is not a reduction on the never quoted 25% - 30%.

It is good to know that CyanConnode were/are financially able to move from the Letters of Credit ( 30 to 60 days ) to a more " up-front " business model, for new suppliers, because of the semi-conductor/component shortages. Which as I understand from the Directors Talk presentation, are for components being purchased for potential/furure orders.

From part of Heathers contribution to the presentation:-

" We've continued to have to mitigate against the continued component shortages and we have to order, in many cases, we have to order months in advance of the requirements, due to the lead times. In certain cases we are having to source components from alternative suppliers and then the disadvantage of this, is that we have to pay up-front, rather than having 30 to 60 days payment terms."

So negotiating the difficulties of a difficult situation.

You are welcome. I do not think these Directors Talk Interviews travel very well. They seem to put a " digital blocker " on them, somehow, so I added the more direct route, as the web address did not link.

Yes, interesting that Anil got a mention and also the 35 million smart meters being tendered at the moment, if I heard it correctly.

And because of the semi-conductor shortage, CyanConnode are operating under different purchasing agreements, to get over the problem.

But 2022/2023 looks very encouraging.

But my gas supplier will change me over to a SMETS2 electric Smart Meter, if I have both my gas and electric from them. But my electricity supplier will not supply me with a SMETS2 electric Smart Meter, until my turn is due.

So very interesting and frustrating, at the same time.

Still, worse things happen at sea, as the old saying goes.

Good afternoon all.

I have had a SMETS1 smart electric meter for some time now and have been waiting for my upgrade to SMETS2, in due course.

Over the last couple of years my gas supplier has been contacting me periodically, to have a smart meter fitted. Initially, when I asked was it a SMETS1 or SMETS2 smart gas meter they were offering, I was told it was a SMETS1. So I declined and said I would wait for a SMETS2 meter, as it would need to be changed/upgraded at a later date anyway.

The gas supplier has since contacted me recently, about fitting a SMETS2 smart gas meter, but say because I only have a SMETS1 smart electric meter, it is not possible to fit a SMETS2 smart gas meter.

But it is possible for the gas supplier to fit a SMETS2 gas meter and a SMETS2 electric meter, at the same time. No doubt my electricity supplier will contact me about a similar deal, when my SMETS2 electric smart meter upgrade is due.

I am sure they will sort it out amoungst themselves. Eventually.

Although brief, with the information that was revealed in the Trading Update, I am encouraged by what was available and relevant. Which bodes well for the end of the 2021/2022 financial year, I feel.

Any relevant information on any potential new contact awards, will take place, of course, when the information is available, throughout 2022. That is what the Market and share-holders are anticipating and looking forward to.
