It is worth having another look at the tweet posted on January 19th, 2022, which illustrates the terrains that CyanConnodes RF Mesh is designed to cope with.

I have no idea who the " unproven vendors " are. But we should no shortly who the successful companies are.

As far as Anil is concerned, my opinion is, I am glad to have him back, within the Company. If the grass seemed greener at one time and it wasn't so green as he got closer, such is life. You will promote the Company you are with, until it is time to go.

It happens to us all.

I am a believer in competiton, jake. Just like I am a believer in reading the whole report so that you can reach a balanced judgement and see the whole picture.

But it is yet to be decided how many competitors there will be. But there should be enough for everyone, or two, or three.

So it would seem that the vetting system did not work adequately for some of the projects, initially. Which is why the various organizations have taken the action they have.

From the report:-

These include communications failure with meters, difficulties in integrating with legacy billing systems at the Discoms, lack of compatibility between head-end software systems and meters from multiple manufacturers and the requirement for manual intervention to connect and disconnect some system components."

" The proposed solutions of bidders will be assessed by pre-qualification committees, with all current and live bids to be put on hold until March 2022, pending set-up of the test schemes and pre-qualification arrangements. Where bidders fail to meet the requirements, their solutions will be excluded from government funding provisions to the Discoms."

These are real issues to be considered, jake.

Maybe Hardman are calling it as they see it, at the moment. In there opinion. From what you say, it is obviously not yours. But opinions differ. From CyanConnode's point of view, as they have done the hard yards over the years, let us look forward to the future with optimism.

But following on from my 08:32 post this morning, it confirms within that report:-

" Following the rapid integration of CyanConnode's narrowband RF mesh technology, with Genus IS 6444 ( Bureau of Indian Standards meter protocol, implementation is due to be complete by the end of 2018."

So it is not only the CyanConnode Omnimesh IPv6 solution that is up to standard, it is also the individual smart meter company and the smart meter's themselves that also has to qualify.

So something else for competitors and bidders to consider.

Hello jake,

Lets see what the overall offer is first, from Wirepas. As we already know what the CyanConnode offer is, for India and globally. But IPv6 6LoWPAN and 865/868MHz are the main battle grounds in India. Together with Cyber Security and Data Management/Data Access.

All in my opinion , of cource. But I mentioned a couple of days ago which horse I was backing. And that hasn't changed.

Wirepas:-

Hardman:-

" To date 3.3m have been installed across the country."

So we know where the meters are located from the Hardman Report, but we do not know where the meters are located from the Wirepas information.

As Wirepas will not release any more than what they have released to you, in the form that it was sent to you, we will have to wait until it is on the Wirepas company website. Which I am sure it will be at some time, when the Company is ready.

Item 3 indicates that:- " Wirepas RF Mesh has two profiles in 865-868MHz and 1.9GHz; One with IPv6 6LoWPAN which is available for Electricity Smart metering business ( Order Booked - 3.3 Million and successful deployment of 256k.)"

This is quiet a substantial order for India and for RF. But it seems to have gone under the radar as I cannot remember seeing an RF order press release of this size?
