Thank you for the report on RF networks in general. From your report dated October 13th, 2021:-

" A typical Wirepas network architecture is fully decentralized. It works efficiently for IoT applications that require low power. It can function on standard LPWA radio technologies, such as Bluetooth Low Energy, in addition to several System on Chips ( SOC ) applications."

In another report I have come across on Wirepas, dated January 2022, it mentions that:- " The Wirepas Massive system is a rival point-to-point mesh solution, to the likes of Bluetooth and Zigbee." So I will leave that one with you.

The headline to type in for this report, as the web address does not travel very well is:-

Wirepas lands indoor tracking, monitoring deals - including key contract with Orange.

But still advertising/promoting the 1.9GHz freqeuncy band, which I mentioned to you on Saturday, from a report I posted about the " WPC has delicenced the frequency band 865-868MH," which at the moment Wirepas do not qualify for in India, using 1.9GHz.

It is also worth mentioning , with the products and services that Wirepas offer, not every company that provides an RF solution, is a competitor of CyanConnode. An RF provider like Wirepas, who seem to offer a tracking service, for many products, from reports I have already posted, do not compete in the same area of expertise, that CyanConnode provide services to. Just like CyanConnode do not offer the same services/solutions that Wirepas offer in the 1.9GHz area of expertise.

Horse for courses, you might say.

I'll stick with CyanConnode, for this race, if you don't mind.

I notice from the report you posted on 5G technology, from Wirepas, that it is a " non-cellular " product/solution. But it still mentions a 1.9GHz requency. So it might suggest that this product is not targetted at the Indian market, at the moment, for reasons I mentioned on Saturday morning.

Whereas in March, 2020, CyanConnode launched a range of Cellular Metering Products, which can " ..... support all the 2G, 3G, 4G and emerging 5g standards, including NB-IoT and Cat-M1 IoT Cellular technologies.

I still do not understand how a report saying Wirepas is " ...... IPv6-compliant .... " and yet there seems to be no reference to Wirepas products or solutions being IPv6 6LoWPAN, that I can find on their website, as CyanConnode's Omnimesh solution has, in the " Smart electricity metering " report I posted on Friday afternoon.

IPv6 is a strong selling point for any Company, especially in India. And probably a requirement within the industry that CyanConnode operate in. Which is again why, I cannot unerstand why Wirepas seem not to promote it within their Company literature, or on their website.

Maybe being IPv6-compliant, does not mean that the product itself is actually/specifically IPv6 6LoWPAN rated. Which would explain why Wirepas themselves do not say so.

From the report:-

" WPC, a wing of the Department ot Telecommunication has delicenced the frequency band 865-868MHz which is a good move as it will help OEMs and manufactories to keep the same band globally. Now only needs to apply ETA SDOC. Earlier, in India, only 865-867 MHz was allowed but now by extending the frequency band to till 868MHz, will help to bring new technologies like RFID, LoRaWAN etc."

So as Wirepas provide services to many global regions, according to there website and operate within a spectrum of 1.9GHz and India seem to be allowing only 865-868MHz frequency band, it is difficult to see, at the moment, that Wirepas are one of CyanConnode's immediate competitors in India. There would seem to be other candidates that fulfil the qualifications.

The full text from your passage, should finish off, with " ...... product in the market ," says Anil Daulani, CEO at BCITS. I do not see any reference to IPv6 in this specific paragraph or the communication in general.

This extract is taken from a BCITS/Wirepas communication, which was on the Wirepas website, but it is easier to gain access as follows.

BCITS to build a Wirepas-based RF mesh communication solution for Advanced Metering Infrastructure in India.

Or just type-in - BCITS - and the headline should be on the webpage.

So maybe this is one of the reasons that Anil came back to CyanConnode.

Some more information provided by Wirepas, seems to confirm that they operate using the " ... free global dedicated spectrum at 1.9GHz."

CyanConnode, on the otherhand, operate in India using an " Advanced narrowband RF networking technology ..... " I believe between 865/867MHz and in Thailand operate between 442/447MHz. So an adjustable solution.

Also, I cannot find any reference to IPv6 in the Wirepas information. which I understand for electricity meters in particular, in India is a requirement. But it may not be a requirement for the " devices " connected via 1.9MHz, in other areas of the world.

But I may have missed it.

As I mentioned yesterday, this vetting process is a good thing, in my opinion and will sort out the wheat from the chaff and leave the remaining viable companies to compete for the overall, remaining smart meter business. And should also hopefully speed up the future tender processes.

I mentioned about CyanConnodes competition, a few years back, at one of the AGM's/EGM's and CyanConnode were very open about there competitors. Even then.

But I am looking forward to the list of successful companies being made public. If it is made public. There may be tenders, for different regional terrains/requirments/budgets, etc., with different shotlists for each.

So we will have to see how the tender lists are structured, through 2022, to try and get a feel for the actual tender process.

Interesting times, I feel.

Supply chain initiatives and cashflow:-

- Substantial management effort has gone into ensuring supply chain continuity, in the face of global silicon shortages that have led to product shortages across industry verticals. Lead times on silicon supply are currently 12 months plus. The company has added component suppliers, where new relationships mean that initial payment terms typically require upfront payments in the early stages, in contrast to the 45 to 90 payment terms previously offered by existing, longstanding suppliers. Even the latter terms are subject to some compression, due to a step change in the volumes now required by CyanConnode from existing suppliers.

Focus now solely on proven technology vendors:-

- The proposed solutions of bidders will be assessed by pre-qualification committees, with all current and live bids to be put on hold until March 2022, pending setup of the test schemes and pre-qualification arrangements. Where bidders fail to meet the requirements, there solutions will be excluded from the government funding provisions to the Discoms.

This process, in my opinion, will allow the " wheat to be sorted from the chaff " as the saying goes, which we hope will accelerate the tender process when the process is complete. It will also allow our new and existing suppliers a bit of extra time to deliver CyanConnodes silicon based components, " .... with all current and live bids to be put on hold until March 2022."

Also from - Focus now solely on proven technology vendors:-

- These are critical observations, which leead the Ministry to conclude that bids will only be considered from vendors that have proven their ability to deliver end-to-end prepaid solutions that are fully interoperable, with seamless connectivity and a success rate ( i.e service level agreement, SLA ) of at least 99.5%. These are highly demanding parameters, which CyanConnode fulfills. We are unaware of other providers that currently meet these criteria, but all will become clear on this front as the contract awards come through during calendar 2022.

- On track to meet FY22 forecasts: Management has reiterated that it is on track to meet its guidance for FY22 ( to end -March ), which requires to company to grow entirely organically YoY by 44%. Our estimate is for a tenfold increase in revenue between 2020 and 2024, with profitability in the coming year.

- Critical year ahead in India: After extensive delays in the Indian smart meter procurement, a step-change has taken place, driven by government initiatives. Currently, tenders are out for some 37.4m smart meters, a figure expected to grow over the next six months, with decisions due by the the end of calendar 2022.

Should be an interesting year.

Certainly, reading the Solid State PLC literature, they are a Company with many strings to their bow. As the saying goes. And another Company with potential contract opportunuties in the USA, that has partnered with CyanConnode recently.

From the Solid State PLC RNS - 27th January, 2022 - Mr. John Macmichael MD of Solid State commented:-

" One of the key challenges was securing the product needed to meet CyanConnode's build requirements. Despite global supply shortages, through close collaboration with CyanConnode and our manufacturer, product has been secured and buffered to meet their forecasted requirements."

So, both Solid State PLC and CyanConnode are investing in the initial stages of the Indian Smart Meter Programme. We will have to see if any other companies will need to be sourced, to secure CyanConnodes component pipeline.

But encouraging news, none-the-less.

........ , in my opinion, but no timelines, I have been encouraged by the Full Year/Interim Results, Trading Updates, Company Awards and Hardman/Arden Research notes and general information received in CyanConnode RNS's, along with CyanConnode Presentations and other Company Partnerships, especially over the last 12/18 month, or so.

And with the recent re-appointment of Anil Daulani, to a senior role within CyanConnode and the addition to the CyanConnode India Team, of Rajiv Kumar, from IntelliSmart, the foundations of CyanConnode are further strengthened for future growth over the coming years.

So, optimistic for the future. Both near and longterm.
