They are paired again though. I thought those were transfers between accounts i.e. not buys or sells

Looking back it seems the annual results are the catalyst for institutional moves and director buys.

All of them bought previously at much higher levels than we are at right now, it obviously doesn't mean they'll buy again, but it will be very interesting to see how this pans out. Especially with the added variable of about 15m shares outstanding with shorts and needing to be bought back at some point.

So with all these identical trades over the last couple of days, in the past people here have said these indicate shares being moved from one account to another.

If that's correct, isn't that the mechanism shorts would need to follow? To borrow shares from someone else they would need to have them transferred to their account so they can then sell into the market and then to return the shares, once they have bought back they would transfer the shares back to the original holder who they borrowed from.

If I'm correct on the above (please let me know if I'm wrong), then the high number of identical trades today could either be shorters borrowing more and increasing their position or returning borrowed shares that they've bought back at these low levels to reduce their short. Either way we should expect an update on the short tracking sites if this is true.

I disagree with you on this one JG.

If the market was rarely wrong then all stocks would be priced appropriately with movements purely based on fundamental changes and even then with pinpoint accuracy. This is absolutely not the case, stocks can become undervalued and stocks can become overvalued.

This is one that feels undervalued to me and I've literally put money on it. I could be wrong, but I really hope not.

I just spotted it went through at £1.351 too

Just before 2pm there was a £3m buy, yet the price here has hardly moved whilst all day yesterday there was about a quarter of that amount traded in the last couple of hours and it went up by about 6p.

Would love to know how it's done.

This is still trading well below that true value, it's half the book value for example.

Just a reminder for those who are new to this board. There was a takeover rumour in September. Although it may well not be true,as others have identified, there are a number of possible signs and these things take time and so activity could still be ongoing:

There hasn't been a big seller, no TR1 for months. This has such low daily trading volumes that the shorts didn't need one.

In my opinion you don't need to look much further than the shorts tab above. They hold 2.5% of the total stock and as the free float is only about 5% in total, it means they have been able to manipulate it as they wish

Not necessarily a TR1, could be shorts reducing. We'll see, but it's nice to see a bit of lift, hopefully the momentum will continue into and past results rather than being slapped down at the £1.40 level again

I think they could buy in volume. We know what the trading updates will be because, if it differed from their last guidance, they would have had to update the market.

At what point does one of the existing institutes get fed up on this and start snapping up all the sell orders? Only 30m shares approximately out of a total of 600m. It would be easy for an institute to snap them up
