That was the one I referred to. My guess is buy on the basis it was held around this price for ages, before it dropped again.

That was the uncrossing trade. The trades that are of interest are the huge ones around £1.56. Given the way the price held at this level for so long I'd imagine it was a buy

Looking at the institutional Investors holding predominantly. I did recently and worked it out that only 10% is private investors, but I'm not an expert so could be very wrong

That also means that this can motor when it wants to as well, as has been seen many times before

It's also, I suspect, because the free float is quite small and the daily volume is generally low. Perfect for a shorter.

This is all about the shorts playing it to their will and has been for some time.

Like others here, during covid I got out too early, this time I got in too early (September time). The trading updates have been consistently positive though despite the share price action (controlled by shorts) indicating otherwise.

In all seriousness, the fact they are continuing to reinstate routes etc. is a positive

I got out too early too. Apparently it went to over £3, but I think I was out close to £2. Bought back in here around the time of the takeover rumours last year and after I saw there was a 50,000 share director buy.

I've kept in touch with people on the ground there and they've said how incredibly busy it has been so the positive sentiment from the trading updates seems to be supported. Just got to hope it can start to be reflected in positive market sentiment too. First Group have apparently turned down a private equity approach so there certainly seems to be interest in the sector and volumes here have been picking up so you never know.

Shares in National Express have jumped 7pc amid rumours of a possible takeover approach.

The coach operator was mentioned in a so-called 'uncooked' Betaville report, which said it had attracted interest from a financial buyer such as a private equity firm or infrastructure fund.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Director's can buy as the financial year ended in December.

Also, there were rumours a few months ago of a buyout. If this has developed into an ongoing dialogue, then again, I don't believe directors would be allowed to buy.
