I have been following this as intently over the period you have but the volume of trades over 1.90 this week has seemed to be higher than average. It may be nothing, but I see that as a promising sign

Your pessimism finally proved right today then Jtan, albeit with about 20% of the volume we've seen most days this week.

Over 2m trades before 12.30. Then about 100k on the last hour have dropped this 6p. Market movers are great fun.

The volume is really high again today. Feels like something is brewing...

So our inflation has started to ease (albeit slightly) and also the big thing people seem to have missed yesterday is that the pound has tanked even further so if this determined buyer is from the US then this is more of a bargain for them then it was already.

We'll see I guess, but this stock was already priced with a very negative outlook in mind and there has been some determined buying.

The US news was received and caused the drop from 196, but this picked up again going into the close. There definitely seems to be a change in momentum on this stock since Friday and a pick up in volume so don't be so sure.

Makes you wonder if JP Morgan had wind of this based on their recent short. Would be terrible if so, but seems a very suspicious coincidence.
