Hi Matty, that thought was running around my head - if equity is raised, to the shareholder in the very short term (traders etc) it all depends on what the price of the equity raise is. If it's at a massive discount to the current SP then you're going to take a hit on your current holding. Long term however, you have to hope that the assets gained via the raise is going to pay you back more than you've lost.
Or something like that. Too much wine for a midweek night so if I'm rambling sorry.

Hi BlueSky, I had a look and I really couldn't work it out!
I ended up going back to look at a few more examples online. Each letter that is sent out by the EA gives a deadline and the ones I've seen ( 4 or 5 of them ) seem to have an average of about 2 months.
Obviously you would expect Tech Minerals to be trying to get this done as quicky as professionally possible anyway, so having received theirs on 15th Feb you'd certainly expect this all to be turned around ( including final decision) by easter in early April. Just my view of course.

Exactly 5 weeks today until the last day of March.
Important newsflow due within this timescale....

Ps My footnote refers to the "First Shipment leaves Han****" in the second document. I put an asterisk after it but then it unhelpfully censored it with more asterisks ....

I also did a bit of digging, more out of curiosity than anything. I was wondering what kind of timescale was allowed for a response to the "schedule 5" notification. I couldn't find a specific rule ( perhaps someone with better googling ability can spot it if this is of any interest ) but what I did find were two examples of three page historic Schedule 5 notifications, entitled "Notice of request for more information". One quite old one had a letter date of 23/08/17 and had to respond by 24/10/17 ( about 10 calendar weeks) and one a little more recently had a letter date of 24/07/2019 and had to respond by 21/08/2019 ( exactly 4 calendar weeks ).
So as clear as mud. If anyone knows the answer let me know! It may not be standard anyway.

Agree with all of that.

So to summarise:

Currency has a present value.
The value can be eroded by inflation if inflation is over 0%

Gold has a value and can also be a store of value providing it tracks inflation.

QED (At least in my own head... )

Agree with those that are not particularly fussed about SP tomorrow. Most important is what the results actually say, and ignore the froth. Whatever happens I'm absolutely sure that the SP will be back above today's value before too long unless there is some macro event that changes everything for a temporary period of time.
But the underlying factor is always... how much money have they made! I understand that the market is "forward looking" but this company is one of not many that is 'jam today' - I am convinced they will give an improved progressive divi plus buy backs they can carry on,and in the meantime negotiate any headwinds now & in the future. There have been headwinds for years! There is always something bad brewing, we know because Darth rader sends everyone the links at any given opportunity! The point I'm trying to make is that if you look for negatives you will find them. But on balance, this one is hugely positive at this moment in time.

They've already paid an interim of 267c of that 475c so that leaves 208 cents? Which means £1.72?

Hi Jfallonirl, I was hoping someone would answer your question!
Someone may have an idea of how they calculate this. In the meantime, I have pencilled in my own expectation of about £2.50 ( and no special). This is simpy based on the final dividend being reduced by roughly the same amount as the earlier interim dividend. We wait and see....

Wow I've just logged on and didn't expect 13 or so comments on this usually quiet board!
It looks like the consensus view is that all is well.
Hardcore, I'm not sure if you were putting me in that bracket of a subtle deramper or wetbetter but if so nothing could be further from the truth. One thing I've learned over the years is that you can never do too much research - yesterday a query was raised by Brains and it's been useful (certainly to me anyway) as it's started a conversation about the company structure. I found BlueSky's comment at 18:11 helpful as I was unaware of how A.S. got started with TM1 ( I've only been following this company for 6 months or so and first invested in about November I think), and Marty, for me you can never go into too much detail so thank you - more is more! At this stage desite a reasonably decent holding I am still learning. Going by the information put out by the team this is a no-brainer. We're all here to make money and being informed is the best way to maximise that, especially on these smaller stocks where you have to be vigilant. Let's hope that the momentum can continue through next week. I've said before that the Recyclus part of the business is the focus for me and the EA license is the gamechanger.
