Maybe the shorts are buying back having looked at the 3D picture of Havieron!
I would see it as you wont receive any "special dividends" had there been excess cash - instead it would be re-invested.

40 day lock up period for convertible note, does anyone know whether these are working days or calendar days?
"You don't know mate, 20 years on here and a new account every week."
Bless you. At least you've lived your life to the full.
He's on the board at Bluejay - he wasn't at UFO
Current shareholder register appears to have been swapped with the Bash Street Kids classroom one....

You must be having great fun watching a list of trades of a company you're not invested in.
Surely there is something else you could be doing to make better use of your time? Fair enough if you enjoy it.
Having only started to read this board over the last couple of weeks I have already concluded that whoever greygeorge is, they have been intellectually humiliated at some point in their life, and desperately need to prove their astuteness. In this case it manifests itself by lashing out and belittling others.
George, if you just got your point across without the disparaging remarks it would be a better read.
"I heard on another forum news is coming tomorrow and it's better than expected at this stage"
...and there you have it. You just can't get any more concrete evidence than that.
Hope everyone does well but that is just silly.
"But then having to cover the divi is sure an incentive! "
I'd never considered that shorters must have to cover the divi - it's just something I'd not even thought about but of course they must have to.
So obviously (well I mean I've just learned!) if they sell and then buy back after ex-divi then they're not entitled to the divi, but must still have to pay the person they borrowed the shares off the dividend amount.
You learn somethign everyday and all that.
I opened my first (small) position the other day at 8.80 to test the water.

Tried to trick the markets by not commenting for a while -
I know they perpetually watch me ( I can tell this by the fact that every time I sell a stock its price rises & every time I buy, they go down)
So I figured if I got my head down for a bit, they may think I've gone away and thus can start raising the price - then I can jump out at the end and go HAHAHA I was holding *all along**!
Just a short update, it didn't work. I may need to do more research.
Not sure I saw anyone in earlier posts have a go at people for not exercising warrants.
It was optional.
I responded to an earlier suggestion that individuals were (quote) "lunatics" to do so at above market value, with a reason why that perhaps may have happened. That is all.
As for "die hard", not sure who that is aimed at but for me this is one of a reasonable number / wide range of investments - I like the look of this one and am adding at the moment - however I re-assess regularly. Sometimes posters assume that when people comment positively on a share that they're somehow "all in" and can't see any negatives.
I mentioned in a previous post that it is a risk reward that I am currently willing to take.
News or at least an official progress update with numbers is certainly due here so good luck all holders.
The company is striving to get to the stage where they are in operating profit, but this is still a while away.
If someone has got a vested interest in the success of the company, they may be willing to partake in selling their warrants slightly above market value for the benefit of the company and thus protect their longer term investment.
If they bought at market value and the company doesn't make it due to running out of working capital or drawing down expensive borrowing, then that would have been the folly investment.
Exactly.
New year, positive 2024.
Do your research. Invest any share with caution, but DO invest where you are happy with the risk reward balance.
Only invests as much as you are willing to lose - there are nuggets out there if you dig around long enough.
This one could fail or it could 3 x bag to a 45m Mcap in the next year.
Savings accounts are reasonable at present for those who don't want to be involved.
That's a good result on AIM style stocks π
Google has it as 1.13 GBX +0.030 (2.73%), I usually just go by that.
The impression I got during the interview with Alex Stanbury regarding the CLN was that they think the current share price too low and thus locked in the conversion to shares for 40 days. They must anticipate some decent news within that period to shift the SP north...
Looking at Jiffy's link, it looks like they're losing money on average with the stocks they've shorted.
Lets hope that trend accelerates.
Wonder if Newmont may expedite Telfer review in their list of new assets. Market likes certainty and is keen to know the future....
βIn the Paterson district you have got the Telfer deposit itself, youβve got Havieron and other opportunities that may exist around that area. You would want to have a good long, hard look at Telfer before making any decision.β (Newmont CEO)
