Something to consider, unless I've misunderstood what you've written - if the yield falls on your stock ( due to the SP rising ) it doesn't affect your 'own' yield.

Your yield is set in stone ( based on an unchanging dividend ) when you buy the stock. If a share price doubles you still get the same return. It would just mean that any future tranches of the same share would return the smaller yield.

If you want to swap one high income share for another simply for the purpose of having a bigger yield, you have to work out how much you 'wouldn't' get anymore by selling the current shares and compare it to how much you 'would get' with the new ones.

Hi Matty, I agree that there is no imminent pressure on SD to get the share price higher for ASX inclusion, as the minimum share price criteria can be met with consolidation - the consolidation is quite an artificial / administrative thing anyway as the MCap and value of the shares remain the same. However I can't see any benefit of attempting to manipulate a lower SP.

In most circumstances a higher share price is beneficial - If any company needs to raise money, a *higher* share price allows them to raise more money for the same number of shares sold. Likewise if it unfolds that Greatland invoke a small raise when joining ASX, a higher share price will minimise any dilution.

For me I think with GGP we're now beyond the highest risk part of this company building period - there is obviously a huge amount of work both financially and geologically but Greatland have a documented plan and have a higher degree of control than ever before. From what SD has managed to achieve so far I feel that the company is in a good place and I have a real sense of confidence that this will grow and grow. Nothing is certain but if you set aside the SP and someone explained to me a year or so back when Newcrest were going rogue that this was the position Greatland would end up in now it would be something that would be quite astounding. The SP has been a bit of a casualty but I do feel that GGP is now an opportunity again. This is of course my personal view.

These days when there is a quiet spell, it is reassuring that behind the scenes Greatland are busy producing gold!

With it being a cross listing rather than a dual listing, it's the same pool of shares for both markets. So to me that means more demand with the same supply - thus on a basic level of supply & demand it should increase the share price, all else remaining equal. Obviously performance remains the driving factor.

The BoD celeries have not bean the main issue, WKW. A mung the biggest thing that's lettuce down has bean the thyme swede taken to get to this stage. Also the chard stuff in the bays didn't help. Sage management or outside kelp is needed at this stage. Only then may we mange tout beet expectations and fennely get minted.

"The market" has done some erratic things with the GGP SP in the last month or so since the official takeover of Telfer. What the value on any given day is is not really the best indicator. Maybe using something like a moving average is better. We need higher highs and higher lows, and then the trend is going in the right direction for LTH.

Greatland are making jam as I type. They were left enormous stockpiles of fruit & sugar and have already started to put it in jars.

And don't forget about the marmalade!

When I came onto LSE tonight I saw over 400 posts on TM1 and I firstly just assumed they were all WKW repeating the same few words in different orders. I think even WKW has been caught off-guard by today's unexpected price action.
