Still one of the top risers today (FTSE 100) at time of writing - much of the market moved the same way

Received my divi today. I think I must have been the last person on the register.

This was in the pres release way back in May 2018, relating to the acquisition of Libery Global.

"Vodafone intends to finance the acquisition using existing cash, new debt facilities (including hybrid debt securities) and around €3 billion of mandatory convertible bonds (‘MCBs’). Vodafone will have the option to repurchase the shares issued under the terms of the MCBs at maturity, thereby avoiding equity dilution"

I thought it was the 26th, but interestingly Tui's website now says the following:

"What was the amount of the last dividend and when was it paid?
The dividend for financial year 2018 of € 0.72 per share was paid to the shareholders on 15 February 2019."

(Even though it's not got to that date quite yet!)

I agree, I've too been surprised by the amount dropped. The best policy may be not to look at it for a couple of weeks! It does appear to be finally settling ( or at least slowing ) - it's not the biggest faller this morning so that must be a start! I bought early hoping for a quick bounce but that didn't work out. It looks like I will also be holding for a while....

I'm glad all that is out of the way. I know where I stand now!

PS My point is that it's a heavy share price loss for standing still.

This share has lost approximately 25% of its value for not meeting growth expectations of 10%.

Isn't today's information more or less confirmation of stuff we already know, and to which the market responded on Thursday? I can see this dithering around for a while more than anything. Knock a bit off for ex div on 13th ( as with any stock )
I was in too early (9.85) but I believe it will recover steadily once ex div date has gone and is "calculated" in. I don't think the results are terrible, certainly not unrecoverable.

I entered this share on Friday (@1.399....) and have just watch it fall ever since. I had to double check what a green chart meant.... Seriously it does feel like it has got some legs today. To be honest I was hoping for a quick bounce but I always buy with the knowledge that I may have to hold for a long period of time......
