Cheers Paddy - I was looking at the proximity of the Parlay 'mention' to the border with that tenement. I guess GGP have a couple that potentially straddle other tenements. It will be interesting how these play out if we start getting good results in these areas - especially with us currently working with Newcrest, and with Newcrest having first dibs ( at the moment ) with our projects in this area.

I take it that it's Antipa's tenement to the west of Parlay?

1gandhi, I also thought that the "start of the journey" implies similar. If we were getting bought out, or hav bought out, we'd be either near the end of the journey, or near the start of a new one! Just purely an interpretation on my part.

I think I'm getting slightly addicted to this BB - it's like the antithesis of watching / reading the news, a parallel universe where everything you hear is positive! I'm now expecting to hear that they've dug up the Holy Grail during the first Scallywag drill, and on further results it turns out it was part of a pack of three.

Hi, I was thinking about the example where shares were bought at 9p rather than the expected 8.7p - that's an increase of (very roughly) 3%.
Which would mean that if you were buying on a paying site with a charge of, say £10, then any deal over about £300 would work out cheaper on the paying site .

Whether it's the right decision or not, it's probably what I would have done in the same position - I'm obviously hoping GGP goes sky high and things are so, so promising - but you've hedged a bit and later on you may be looking at a 10% divi on your lloyds with a potential to double in value too. Neither or both may happen, we will see!

Interestingly I've looked at LLOY too - despite the UK economy to be dire over the next year or two ( which LLOY is heavily dependent on ) I am probably still going to hold. I think the risk of adding may even be of benefit at such a low SP, as when the divi kicks back in( hopefully / eventually ) it will go back to being decent. However there are a lot of shares out there that may bounce in a year ( like after the finanial crisis ). My GGP is already ( due to the result of the massively rising SP ) such a huge chunk of my holdings that I'm trying to retain some discipline. Investing always gives you some kicks in the teeth as despite "doing the right thing" in hindsight I'd have been much better going all in here!!!!!

That is a good point as one could sell out at that point if so desired - I was thinking hypothetically that say it turns out that there is very little value in Scallywag, then the money that came in is a "one off" and thus the value from that point starts to be eroded until the next promising find. I guess in a way that's the nature of investing in an explorer anyway. I've been wondering what the options are for a complete "hands off" approach to hold 25% of HAV for the long term? Effectively just own a portion and take an agreed cut of proceeds. Is that a non-starter?

I agree with Dore - despite the amazing potential at Scallywag, as a shareholder I would want to see something for HAV if sold - otherwise it would be like a gambler putting all their winnings back in the fruit machine in the hope of another.

Ponie, I was thinking about Scally the other day. I'm assuming NC don't really have to do anything with Scallywag in the near term, as even if we got drilling and the first few sets of results were impressive they can just let us continue on our own, as they have first refusal anyway? The only way they'd have to get involved would be if someone else tried to mucscle in. What I mean is that they don't need to be in a hurry to do anything.
