The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Believe me...if Haveiron was that valuable..the markets would have recognised it. Its quite arrogant to think that you have a better handle on the market operations and this SP specifically. Get real....the share price is on its knees not because of all the really exciting things in store for the Company but because there is too much uncertainy, secrecy, hope and wishful thinking now instead of solid track record and hard evidence. Yes..I am worried. A lot of discussion is how we cant afford this and that etc ....well that is because SD has taken his eye firmly off the ball rolling away from at a gathering speed. I want prospects to be excited about not maybes ansdwhat ifs and listings and dilutions. Get your finger out SD or just tell us PIs to go away..simples !
Oh...and what actually is a complete ***** ?
I will take it as praise and say ..Thank you kindly !
SpadesAspade by nickname..SpadesAspade by opinion !
Telling it like it is and I really like it...says what a lot of us really think but havent managed to articulate properly!
I do think that there will come a time on a spike when we might be able to squeeze out a 4 or 5 % profit before commission on sales but I am feariful that I will be losing at least 30-40% of my initial investment as the spike probably wont last more than a day or so. Never seem to get a quoted price when spikes happen!!
Cant fault your logic Ben
The DTP will have a major upward effect on the SP.
i along with many others expect this to multi bag..perhaps double in value before falling back again which tends to happen on AIM.
I just think its a shame that SD is quite happy for the SP to languish around the 5 or 6 p mark so that if it then does indeed multi bag say 200% everyone will be shouting Eureka and glory days while I will be left feeling non plussed (although I will be 4 or 5% in profit). Perhaps I expected too much...30p is unobtainable from this low SP starting point but from a 15p SP which it was at the last capital raise that alarmed everyone at the time, it is very possible. SD is in it to fulfill the role of a paid CEO..I am in GGP to make money for myself and my wife and family.
100% Yes..and it will be around 5.25p as well...wont raise at todays level as Aussie froends want to make a profit
Seconded..i learned from reading it ! thanks
Yes..i do think that GGP are (or certainly should be) reading this top class bulletin board. It wouldnt be beyond them to allocate part of someones admin role to scrutinise it to gauge the feelings and temperature of their loyal shareholders , many of which rock up to the Town Hall ( always in the South btw ) to express this loyalty and kiss SD feet no doubt. ..IMHO
However, if there is enough people on this board that feel like myself then lets jointly write a letter of complete and utter disatisfaction, of the board, to the board in a way they will understand. I think Tiggerman suggested doing this last month and was piloried though by the SD though police here. Nuff said!!
Might be embarrasing to you MH01 but not all of us hav the expertise or time to be able to base their decisions on their own research. Nothing wrong with that. Also, that is why we have Financial advisers, tipsters, Berenberg ( lol lol finger in the air time again lads ) etc to help us decide. Yes..the explanatory research and fundamental investigations made by the posters all those years ago was, I belived, based on good research (in the same whay that you and your SD lap dogs claim now, so why not heed it, or be swayed by it. I bet I am not the only one who bought their shares out of a desire to make dream money instead of the thrill of the journey as my motive...i dont apologise for that. And finally I say measured because a few really intelligent and articulate posters have cropped up in the last few days reflecting my current thoughts...I am just a catalyst and not the main event so I only take credit if I have facilitated this.
Rotherby1 ..my first green binning job in the last 14 weeks ! Really took exception to that last post
Complete stating of the bl***ing obvious and a pointless and condescending post. Shame because the arguments have been so much more balanced and measured and considered recently and not simply " he is the messiah" talk ....( yes..he is a very naughty boy ) If Newcrest would have taken us out then at around say 40p per share they might have been doing us a favour..not really a negative! Less to suffer and a happy ending !
Very odd statement...we have no news from the company re drilling so how can u say that ? The " team of high paid" experts does seem to be growing...granted ! And what exactly are these people doing to earn their money ? Great work if you can get it!. Please dont write such inflammatory statements as they are not good for my health but I assume you are taking the p**s although some people might not appreciate your irony.
Good little interview and very credible and sensible interviwee, We just need to stop SD exacerbating the situation.
Excellently worded posting...You ( Sandgrounded ) seem to have got to the nub of the issue and hit the nail firmly on the head. No wonder the ensuing discussion has already teased out the most sensible postings I have seen for ages. I cant add anything because you have expressed my views perfectly
No..after short pause and watching brief I started to plunge more and more money back in to GGP to my detrimet so.. yes it seems a bad decision now but I still believed in the £1.44 hype nonsence around at that time. In truth, I had a feeling that the 35+ SP I accidentally sold at was a bit artificial due to the mega ramping around the Scallywag results. I got twitchy and tried to set a limit price ?? because I didnt want to ruin Xmas worrying about the New Year opening price and I still remembered the events of the dot com bubble all too well regarding the early trading days of the new year ( very early 2000s If I am not mistaken) Yes..I make my own decisions and no one forced me but all this is irrelevant as what is occuring now is a disgrace with less and less certainty around than there ever was when we should be in a position to take stock of our previous investments and top ups instead of holding blind hope for the future
Why exactly is that ?
Thats the point. I DID belive in their prospects...have average down 6 or 7 times in the last 18 and have no more cash to invest now. Yes,,,the SP will rebound in my opinion all the way up to say 11,25p in... say 2025. This will be marvelous for those with an average of say 7p but no where near what i expected when i plunged in all those years ago. None of this would apply if Shaun the Destroyer had his eyes firmly on the ball
Re Fish and Chip shop....please forward to SD .....he might need the advice when he takes up his next job in a run down Chippy.
Sorry...I strongly disagree with what you say Rotherby. May and September is a load of rubbish..people buy and sell whenever they like,,...the month is irrelevant
Also. while one continues to hold these golden t**ds that are worth 20% of what you originally shelled out you are actually missing out on some truly great SP bargains that you just dont have the money for ...you are effectively stuck!
..and someone who sees a rumour, realises how this could affect the SP and has the grace to put out a RNS or statement that either strongly refutes the content or tells the truth about his true intentions if they are noble.
Someone who puts Shareholder interests much higher than Shaun of the Dead does and is focused on the here and now and uses his skill to inspire and enthuse the likes of myself rather than hobnobing with his Corporate chummies for apparently personal reasons. More Pep G than Nero..IMHO
