Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
If the take over is approved next month and a decision to mothball is made quickly then who will pay for the remaining work to be carried out at Havieron ? Can it continue without a firm agreement in place in the absence of Newcrest...just asking ?
But what if the terms dont provide for this ?
Also, no one has come in so far.....unlikely that things would change once Newmont have tainted it with apathy.
Lets face it...we are heading for this scenario
Listened and watched all that went on yesterday at TH
Exactly what I saiid would happen and the SP falls today..SD was very engaging but diplomatically telling us nothing at all we didnt know. He just said what he would like to happen or what he thinks could happen
Really scared of thr "divest" scenario, What if, as I have said, Newmont defers any decision on Havieron for a few years or so, while it gets its house in order. Not selling it and not scrapping it ...mothballing. Where does that leave us ? I dread to think what that will do to the SP
MH01 You are getting a bit tiresome with your blinkered, uteer devotion to SD
You cant seem to bear anyone critisising the company. Do u know something we all dont ?
Tell him that is..not shut up !!
I will !
...because I get the impression that SD and his trusty well paid board are hiding something that probably isnt concrete enough to be called material for disclosure yet, Something stinks at the moment....scam maybe too strong but fishy..yes!
...and he has superfans llike yourself who idolise his every move
Not intended as a personal attack please...just part of the style of behaviour that I really cant buy into
Great post..exactly what is needed !
As for tomorrows TH SDmeet up ..here is my take
Presentation out in the morning containing nothing that is not alrerady out there in the public domain
SD will then be charming and congenial and somehwat engaging but will fail to expand much, if at all, on the presentation content in general conversation with his fans. He will have fulfilled his obligations masterfully
Unless he gets some really incisive questions and ones that he needs to explain fully and not just give a casual a platitude then the whole thing will be the usual PR excercise followed by this board's excuses such as "he is bounnd by the Rules of diisclosure" or his" hands are tied by the takeover shenanigans".
Share price on Friday morning 7.35- 7.55p..barely up on today ! Verdict will be .."cant wait till we get the real news next month "
In relation to my last posting that caused a bit of a stir
Where's the Euphoria following this latest RNS relaease?
There seems to be a pattern here. Great excitement and mystery before each RNS/Presentation ( SD about to announce something big/here comes the big news specially for us etc) followed by mild responses making excuses why he didnt reveal much and saying that "news/promises will not move the SP only production and cash flow will do so". Oh..and the inevitable " SD hands are tied and he cant say much excuse"
All very predictable and sorry to be negative..just object to all the misguided anticipation
Although welcome news that SD is condescending to grace us with his prescence, I cant believe all the Euphoria and unwarranted excitement that it seems to have caused
His visits are nothing but an obligation filler, publicity stunt in fact and previously have had zero influence on the SP and served as no more than a temporary bit of excitement. If he actually divulged something worth divulging then that would be different,
Please stop all this happy clappy stuff and focus the fact that SD needs to come and level with us about the tryth in the current rumours and SP horror show. In truth he is probably wating our time and will do even more damage to a SP on its knees !
Well said Fred....joiningthe dits nicely
Bring back GH!
What is the tip Toffers ? In need of a morale boost after watching this SP horror show for the last xxxx months
Would be really good if you could share it
My point exactly and it has turned me from positive to negative and all the things I hear and see from SD just reinforce this and I feel he is just trying to make the best of a bad situation..badly ! What happened to all the excitement we had when we knew what we were sitting on and got in early?
Apologies for the silly typos !
Yes...all true..but with a find like we have in a jurisdiction like this with a supposed top class management company I think we should be quietly excited and confident of a mega result and not just hopeful that we will get a return on our monety in the distant futeure
How times and tone have changed for GGP and on this board
If there is a grin on SD face then it is a smug condescending one that says I will just get through this interview with the usual platitudes all the time knowing excatly what the score is and not having to share it with the unwashed masses and pain the ass private investers.
Yes...how cool is that ! ..not
Fed up of the constant apologies being made for SD and how he has it "all in hand" and will "come up smelling of roses." This happens every time posters here very shrewdly spot an error in the process or a potential iceberg ahead
Face facts, SD is not up to the job, and isnt a millionaire maker. He doesnt have it all in hand. He is simply on a ride to better his prospects and GGP is the vehicle at the moment to do so. As I have said, and I do stand to be made a fool of hopefully, everything points to a complete mothballing of Telfer and a standoff in regards to Haveiron. I do predict that Newmont will put the Haveiron project on the back burner while refusing to sell their 70% once they takeover Newcrest. They hav eplenty of other bigger prospects to further develop. A horrible thought but a distinct possibility...just join all the dots and dont be fooled by what SD says....snake charming springs to mind !
Am I imagining it but Haveiron hardly gets a mention. Talk about playing it down..doesnt bode well for the Newmont deal if that is how much they value the asset
