The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Ok...its a deal !
I understand what all you posters who I often refer to as deluded are saying and it is very eloquesntly and sensibly put.
Perhaps my frustration is borne out of thinking in the ealy days that I was on to a sure fire winner, a stock market gem and and a hidden treasure. Nowdays I can see the cracks appearing all to clearly and am very much moving to the view that I must have deluded myself in those days. Some people here still do seem stuck in those early views I had and it is quite annoying
Thats a bit harsh !
Far from being a disrupter..I am a pensioner with a vested interest in GGp and hoping to see success. I just dont like the false deluded positivity which is prevalent here because it is the 'correct way to be'.
Positive yes....but constantly turning negative blows to the SP and investor journey into positive spin.. ..no!
Stop influencing others by saying how great things are and are looking. The SP future is very worrying
No..I dont believe they would have the backing. I disagree totally.
They would need to go cap in hand and this would destroy the share price in the short/medium term
I might consider selling up if I wasnt so unde rwater
I have said all along that
1 ASXlisting will be a damp squib and benefit only a few of SD Aussue chums
2 Newmont wont want Greatland becuse it is tiny and not worth their time and effort
3 Greatland will be offered the remaining 70% and will struggle to raise the necessary money without destroying the SP ( which SD will be happy to do ..ie Jam tomorrow principle)
4 Greatland, such a promising project with great potential, will be mothballed for the forseable future
All the deluders will be saying .." I didnt see this coming ....I am happy for my great grandchildren to benefit as I wont see any return in my lifetime!"
Well..thatas not my reason for investing here !!
How can you say that an article as damning and powerful as that, rumour or not, will not affect the SP ? You are simply in denial and I fear for you if that is your demaeanour
Yes...someone knows how to stem a potential share price rise.
We will probably fall back now to 6.5 or thereabouts but this is expected anyway as it is the norm with Greatland
As I have said though, all the great potential so eloquently stated by much more knowledgeable posters than me, will probably take us up to the dizzy heights of 10p or perhaps 11p during the coming year but sure as I am the SP will plummet back dowm once the feeding frenzy starts. What a frustrating share...SD has a lot to answer for.
Thanks to wheover put out the lastest share price dampening article !! Not !!!
Not sure how this is a win win for Greatland? No smoke without fire I say and exactly the scenario I have been fearing for some time.
Newmont dont want Haveiron.....Nobody else wants to but it...Greatland cant afford it without wrecking the share price with a brutal raise or debt facility... Haveriron project falters and is put on the back burner by Newmont for a significant period of time !
Wonder if this " news" will stall the recent uptick in the share price. Usually the case when we start to rise. Down we go methinks
Tymers..although I admire your general positivity I do have this nagging feeling that, as Newmonts are such a wealthy outfit, they can afford to make the odd few million pound bad decision. I have read that they are wealthy enough to buy out Greatland whole, out of loose change, but what if they decide when the T/O has completed, to jettison Telfer and mothball or reprioritise Greatland exploration downwards. In other words they dont take Greatland project any further and we are left in limbo as a written down asset on the books.
Where will that leave us ? Sadly, I really do feel that despite all the enthusiasm, that this will come to pass. After all, the previous exploration funds, have come from Newcrest and not Newmont , so in essence, they will not have strictly lost any money by doing so. Greatlan is probably small fry compared to exisitng projects and might well suffer from a re prioritisation
Approaching the 1 year anniversary of Greatland Gold share Price year high of 11.55p
Altogether now.." Thos were the days my friend..we thought they would never end etc etc "
Great news and a great interview it seems
The issue is as always that the more the good news we get, the more the manipulation and the lower we go
All this will mean is that we will be hammered next year..sorry
Dont quite get that. Surely he will have to list again soon as he promised and why if the company is doing so well in India would you predict a SP of less than a penny ?
This is from Asset Match Apr 2023 Note the M Cap and SP
5 Apr 2023 LaunchMyCareer Holdings plc (formerly - Dev Clever/Veative) Technology SP 30.00p ,,,,market cap = £254,312,460.00

I am heavily invested in this one although distracted more day to day with the shenanigans at Greatland Gold
I have registered with Asset Match but still need to find a way out of this horror show
How can we shareholders put pressure on CJ to inform us and generally act in our best interestes ?
for heavans sake ****chaser...stop moaning !
Tig
Just had a look at the Palm Beach report review myself. Not tempted to subscribe but curious if anyone has bought and the leaked the 3 tech companies he suggests will benefit. Might be interested
Yes...may even touch the 5's
Happens every time ( i reckon over 30 -40 times in my memory after a 5%+ rise) and is getting quite predictable
Why can people just refrain from capitalising from a small rise...just once!
Where does it show 7% AQ? great rise...but what about the usual pull back next week that always seems to happen....that is the issue here .
Someone somewhere just doesnt want this to fly.....but who ??
If AIM market is so crooked ( which IMHO it certainly is) and GGP SP is and has been manipulated and kept down for the last 2 years or so, then why will things suddenly change when the so called "big news" arrives ? Surely, and I am convinced of it DTM, ASX, Production commencement will only cause further depression of the SP ? It shouldnt happen but based on recent evidence the SP will fall further during the so called ,Rich news period' to come. This has been my point for ages as well as the detrimental approach to LTH that SD stubbornly adopts.
