I agree with this, but I think it is important that the UK has a way to manufacture vaccines on this island.
Right now, not even insulin is manufacturers here... The supply problems arising from a "mere" 1M who need it will pale into insignificance to home market of 66million plus billions of others.
Not sure this UK Government will be as generous as Johnson & Johnson who have pledged to provide vaccines on a not for profit basis, but I'm sure there would be take up. After all, we have the highest number / Mn who have died (passed the 61k mark in under 12 weeks from 28 February).
I trust the "plant" is being built with the ability to scale production once there is a viable vaccine or a better alternative. I'm not sure, but it may be that different people need different support (eg rise in the number of issues with children reporting rare diseases, possibly those who have had TB vaccine ).
As for the share price, this is a very big race... so I'm not looking for a short term rise, though I would welcome it.
