Charles Jillings, CEO of Utilico, energized by strong economic momentum across Latin America. Watch the video here.
Agree, IMHO this needs wide spread media coverage which makes it easy for PIs and IIs to understand.
Great discussion here all.
So wish the leading health journos were as clued up :)
Perhaps this wee is the week...
Thanks for coming back to me about the link.
I saw the page with the advert, but i couldn't see anything about likes.
All the best f9r the weekend
Apologies for enquiring about something apparently well known: Where is this advert?
I'd like to see it for myself - I might even like it
Dracula, I think you will also find that
A) more "agile" processes were used, and
B) the WHO'S early threshold of 95% efficacy went straight put the window
I am hoping that those more agile processes and the funding necessary to bring 2nd Gen vaccines to market are left in place. Certainly the process for international regulatory acceptance, even if not outright approval, was key.
I'm hoping that clauses saying individuals can't sure the manufacturer for future health issues is revised.
Crackin, How many of yours are you willing to sell at 5p? Genuine question - I'm sure someone will buy them at that price.
Agree wholeheartedly with their view. Thank you for posting this.
I hope Scancell take the opportunity to point out their progress against their starting point of this in mind.
Do I recall correctly that Scancell's initial target was to protect against ALL covids? That would be a powerful game changer if what they are developing is even the first stepping stone on that journey.
It was in the during a covid outbreaks, and i do t remember when I got my booster. I'm not surprised few turned up. It would not have been worth risking my health in London or Oxford.
I'm hoping this year will be the year when we can congregate more safely.
The need for a universal covid vaccine gathers momentum .... perhaps someone could write ro the Reuters journo
Reinfection, severe outcome more common with BA.5 variant; virus spike protein toxic to heart cells
https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/reinfection-severe-outcome-more-common-with-ba5-variant-virus-spike-protein-2022-07-28/
From the article
Virus spike protein damages heart muscle cells
The spike protein on its surface that the coronavirus uses to break into heart muscle cells also triggers a damaging attack from the immune system, according to new research.
The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein interacts with other proteins in cardiac myocytes to cause inflammation, researchers said on Wednesday in a presentation at the American Heart Association's Basic Cardiovascular Sciences Scientific Sessions 2022.
I thought the AGM was in person as I didn't want to travel to Oxford in the midst of a covid surge.
Did I misremember that?
FYI, I wrote to Jon, mentioning that there were several vaccines in trial and sent him the WHO list.
Obviously I also sent the link to the Scancell covidity page and a few personal views.
It would be a great outcome if Governments move to funding the development of a long term solution.
Hope all enjoy their day. I believe we are headed to the Giant's Causeway today.
Violin, like you, I am glad to know Scancell is saving lives. I don't think gifting a violin with a rich and vibrant tone is frivolous at all.
Like others, I am eager for the value of Scancell's technology portfolio to be realised by the world at large. I'm even considering taking on a position (paid work) so I have the cash to buy more.
No one needs to fail for Scancell to be successful. Perhaps for investors, it may seem riskier, but the the upside potential is huge. I think Scancell is one of the UK's best kept secrets...
Apologies for typos, I've been watching dawn break and listening to the dawn chorus - it's all music to my ears.
Surely we would have heard by now if that was the case.
So either an existing but not reportable yet OR a new investor.
Exciting times for that someone mopping up what others are happy to sell.
C7, It's good to see your post - you know I always look forward to them. I am hoping you are out to enjoy this fine weekend. Like you, I think the advances being made are wonderous, offering hope that many more can enjoy the full measure of their days.
Personally, I don't think covid will be over until the fat lady sings. Knowing cases are on the rise, I walked out of the gym and a chap huffing and puffing away with relief. I found myself wondering if I remembered how to do CPR, and my gym partner (who was a nurse) mentioned the same.
I will be one of the ones wearing a mask through the airport and beyond this week. I'm so excited to be going to see friends across the "sea". I haven't seen them since 2019... Take care all, and kept taking that Vitamin D...
I wouldn't mind the share price doubling or tripling whilst I'm away either ;) It would make a great summer of 20222 story for the next AGM - hope to finally meet everyone there!
Violin, pure speculation on my part but I think it is a factor of qualified staff with time available to spend divided by risk of investment times how much the trust the management team.
RM have 147 investments, and according to Owler 10 employees, and on LinkedIn 11-50. I'm sure key people get updates on developments ( as would other key shareholders ).
At the time if the deals, I imagine that a board seat could have triggered periodic moons and subsequently falling knife drops based on takeover speculation tides of "gonna happen soon" and "not this century" type views.
As I said, pure speculation on my part.
I got in for pennies. I hoping to stay through to when it hits multiple pounds.
Congrats to those who have picked up some more shares.
For those that want to know more about the covidity CT, I found this link on the official tracker of all the covidity projects
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05047445
Enjoy a happy weekend all!
Thanks for ALL the comments guys. As I had a filter on for updates forb1 week I assumed that this was new news.
Off to see if we can spot more whales in the loch. Hope you all enjoy your day!
An internal Scancell candidate derived from the platform has advanced as far as optimization studies designed to support a first-in-human trial. In reaching that point, Scancell has generated data that have encouraged it and now BioNTech.
“Preclinical data from our Moditope platform has shown unprecedented anti-tumor effects can be delivered without the need for checkpoint inhibition,” Scancell CSO Lindy Durrant, Ph.D., said in a statement. The preclinical efficacy was seen in advanced tumors.
And then this from yesterday should we have an RNS about this?

Apologies if these have already been posted here, but I found several mentions of Scancell in the last week. Enjoy!!
