What is the original date of this quote?
Asking for clarification as I thought this was their position 3 plus years ago.
Violin, thanks for this insight putting the "success" in context. For many having that extra year plus of life would be priceless.
I'm hoping Scancell exceed these results both in longevity as well as the efficacy rate, so I will patiently await the data.
All the best to all, I try to catch up here at least once a week. Work is busy and interesting. In my free time, enjoying the weather which is warm and spectacular- whether beautiful Indian summer sunshine or the storms of October.
Darn autocorrect-
Buy a few shares of course.
Well it can't all be down to me stating that I managed to scrap together a few pounds to buy a few sales;)
Thanks all for the insights. Looks like it is beans and porridge for me to make as many funds available as possible.
For those interested in the weather - this am was a chilly start, but it has warmed up to a fine afternoon - it is good to see so many people out enjoying the sunshine.
C7, Mine was a very modest buy - not in the 100k region. Like you I have faith that Scancells value will shine.
I was heartened by someone's post that it is likely to be end 2023 before any serious share price movement is seen.
I plan to tuck away a little something as and when I can for this medium term hipd. I am pleased my trades did not sink the share price - unlike the comparatively small trades seem to have done recently.
As for the black trades, if their average was a low as mine used to be, they may be in profit. At least they are not a certain large holder scalping profits ( no RNS ).
All the best for the weekend all, hope you enjoy these early autumn / Indian summer days and sunsets painting the clouds - LL
Hey C7, Indeed a blue day. I hope the first of many.
I finally received some modest funds so I'm on the path to resetting my portfolio, so one of the buys is mine. It is a pity that they only arrived today...
All the best, LL
Thanks all for the input. I will start investigating so i have something in place before the end of the tax year..
Scouse, I haven't checked the final tally, but I just about cleared the rights price.
Happy Holding / Trading - whatever floats your boat.
For those who hold shares in SIPPs, I'd be grateful for views on providers.
I'm looking to optimise contributions over the next few years between a SIPP and ISA.
[The platform I currently use doesn't offer a SIPP, and won't state whether they will offer one before the end of this tax year. Given the issues I had over Scancell's rights issues, I am open to being convinced of the advantages of other platforms.]
Violin, just to be perfectly clear, my two sells were not disappointment in scancell, but due to a deadline. I fully expected the share price to be much higher.
I didn't see your lament until after I posted the comment by yet another board poster. I will post when I have 1 million plus shares.
The reason I'm posting at this hour is due to work.
Just to be clear, I have not moved on. I had to sell a substantial number of Scancell shares as the share price was lower than I had hoped - my original expectation was that I would only need to sell about 1/4 of the number.
I'll let you know when I'm back in the 1million plus club, but that will take some time.
Do we not need to go through a full CT2 with mass numbers, and a partner to fund / licence / negotiate with Heads of State, and distribute?
Having seen the recent news that we are to get a dual strain covid jab the autumn, it is not clear whether Government Departments have even considered universal options [outside health advisers].
Thanks for the good wishes all - if I had had any other option at this time, I would have taken it.
You can bet that every penny not spent on higher fuel costs will be ploughed back into a SIPP (40% tax credit is far higher than any divi or bank return I've seen - not financial advice BTW as I should have already been receiving my state pension for several years - my sitiuation may be unique on this board).
I would say that if you have a SIPP, check the options for withdrawals and their tax implications in future years.
Best of luck all, and as always I think Scancell is a strong buy - so should I win the lottery, scancell is at the top of the investment list.
Was the AGM in Nov or was it later last year due to Covid?
Moon and Drac - see my post about those trades as they were mine.
In hindsight I could have scalped as day traders do, but right now I'm glad I didn't sink the share price altogether given the very small trading volumes
Mia, thanks - I hope so too.
Ok all, those trades were mine.
I've tried for a few weeks to figure out how to execute this to raise the funds I need at this time without setting the share price at odds. I'm glad I didn't sink it to 10 or below. This is not a stop loss or investment in other stocks, but a different kind of off market investment (and no, it is not cyrpto either).
To say I'm gutted that the share price was not at least 4 x higher at this point is an understatement. Unfortunately I could not hold out for news - not until 2pm today or Monday, Tuesday, or any of the days which follow. I laugh as I remember being the outlier for news at 16 May being the very last date we expected share price affecting news and here we are at 19 August. . . as it is, I've had to divest of 4 times as many as I had planned, and that is down to me investing heavily in Scancell.
It s not a criticism of the Scientists at Scancell or the great work they are doing. Really wish they would hire someone to educate the market and keep in touch with the health journos so that when there is news, those who can remain in the market will break even / extend their gains - I've said this for several years, so this is not a new desire.
I am glad that the price didn't sink the way that serial sellers seem to make it make it sink on very low volume. Hopefully I caught out most of the day traders when they were fully invested, but at least I didn't trigger a set of stop losses the way some markets are manipulated.
As always, what ever your reasons for investing, divesting, it's always the right decision at the time.
Having recently contracted Covid for the 1st time, I'm ever so keen for a REAL solution for it. I've got the lingering after effect of the Covid cough - Doctor says he's not worried unless my air flow drops or I develop night sweats.
When / if I receive extra funds, I'll be looking at how best to invest them again, and Scancell is certainly on the list.
I wish everyone here, and everyone scanning the board for titbits, al the best, whatever you get up to this weekend. And now I'm off to walk the dog between showers.
ATB, LL
Well timed!
Indeed. I am stunned the share price is not at least 4 times the current level as many other lesser bits of news seem to drive share prices continually higher.
Another great, informative discussion.
It is a pity the health journos don't read this site;)
