The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Burble, thank you for your efforts - they are nit in vain. Should you want to collaborate, let me know - I'm hoping to have a bit more free time going forward.
I assume they put it it into their new biotech fund as a key asset, valuing it at the current £/$ rate which i think is normal busoness practice.
I'm not at all surprised the fund is not UK based, and I would not be at all surprised I'd they use it to increase their % holding.
Anyone remember the dates on the 2 year deal for Vulpes and Redmile for the conversion? I've assumed this is Vulpes geting their ducks in a row and using their new fund to fuel the conversion.
I hope their new corporate governance prevents them from squashing their investments' share prices willy nilly.
As someone said Fridays are for bad news, I'll
not go for 13 May and gofor 16 May instead. More than happy to have it earlier and be weeks out on this sweepstake.
In terms of the trial, I would imagine there are thousands who would be eligible to take part, so I'm hoping after this first human trial proves safety and efficacy that the next is rolled out for the many others needing treatment.
Welcome newbies to the board. There are a couple of very worthy posters on advfn, but you'll find the science here as well - in an accessible way, and so check out scancells website, trinity Delta for the valuation, and proactive for recent chats. You'll also find a few of us support scancell on Twitter / LinkedIn.
RCW I hope indeed that a veterinary version is made available so that millions of animals too can enjoy their days.
Re the number, I assumed it had to be above 25 for each trial to have statistical significance, and a fee extra for dropouts and untimely demises.
Like everyone else, I'm hoping that some of the agile techniques and real time patient reporting tools are put to use, ensuring that trial data is as accurate as possible. As the tumours dissolved in 4 days in mice, I hope that the trial participants have similar success in losing their tumours
All the best to all.
Hey all,
I'm glad to end in the blue
However prior to the hatchet article, the share price was at least 5p North of the current- without the latest trial news.
I'm not ramping, but just think Scancell coyld do a better job of keeping the markets informed. This is as important as all the presentations they do at the medical research conferences IMHO.
Have a great weekend all.
I was surprised that the weekend press didn't get a wider reporting around the globe.
Do you think the reality of medical funding exclusions due to covid (pre existing condition) will help others realise the value of the Scancell's covidity vaccine?
Vulpes have launched a new biotech fund, and Scancell is a key asset. :D
I am chuffed that so many are going to have the opportunity to trial this. With all the delays for many, I hope that they are they real winners in this.
I orginally invested in Scancell in 2015 because of their groundbreaking work in pancreatic research. Off topuc: I heard over the weekend that artifical pancreases are now being trialled widely, providing hope for millions.
Hey, i suggest tou check the patents and the tech
Scancell is a known leader in the research and has been for years.
I would jot mind a takeover at sat £1-2/share...
Over 25% rise. Time to post out that article mentioning scancell and covid vacci e me thinks
Boom
Boom berg
Love the typo, Freudian or not.
Let's hope all the papers get the news, and more importantly new PIs and IIs.
Burble,
I hope the symptoms are mild and there are no long term issues. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Saw a tweet from Scsncell. I don't expect it will hurt to like and Share it.
I've seen that 10 people already have.
I believe even Scotland is hitting new highs as well.
I'm hoping we get news about the CT soon - lots of doom and gloom from mRNA vaccine makers, which seemed to have bamboozled journos into thinking there are no other options.
As someone who has never had Covid and does not want it, I'd be happy taking Scancells booster and then being exposed to all variants, knowing it would help prove the science.
The fact that immunity amongst those in care homes is declining quickly is very concerning. Regardless of views of thei economic contribution, no one deserves to die alone, gasping for oxygen, and organs failing from covid complications.
Good to see scancell releasing news. Happy to have good new soon, but part of me wishes it would come after I've moved more scancell to my isa in april
Thank you for this reminder.
I thought LSE was reliable, so lesson learned.
I like surprises.
Even if they sometimes happen on 1st April and every one thinks it is a practical joke.
I thought the brothers owned Vulpes. It's been a couple of years since I read up on them, so happy to be corrected
